Wulfran, I agree. I actually took my calculus test and then got back on the thread. That really disappointed, shocked me :0(

I don’t think it’s awkward… I’m not going to explicitly talk about any illegal activities of mine (there really aren’t any since drugs and alcohol are big no-nos for me), but I think it’s important that one has an active social life outside of academics. Because that’s really what makes a person well rounded. And except for the fact that I posted my full name on here a while ago, CC really helps one stay anonymous if they wish to.

And if you’d rather get laid figuratively rather than literally (idk what that would mean- going out and doing something that relieves your stress? Going out and letting loose and having a good time), then so be it. I just want to make sure you guys don’t forget to enjoy your senior year :)

courtney, it’s cc. I might be talking from my ass or something, but a majority of the people don’t really party.

And there’s nothing wrong with partying, just don’t drive drunk/high.

Haha I may text and drive, but I assure you I have/will NEVER drink and drive. I’m nearly always the designated driver anyways.
That’s a very good point, actually, Gadgor, and one I didn’t really think about…
Partying is relative though, I suppose. Partying doesn’t have to mean drugs, alcohol, hookups, and dancing.
Just remember to live up your senior year amidst all the stress of college apps and scholarships, okay guys?

Eh, well, do what you like… but seeing as how I’m still underage for a year and a week, I’ll leave all the talk of getting laid to other people. Not really a huge live-it-up kind of person anyway. :p

I don’t think the voters vote Stanford ahead of TCU, but rather Wisconsin. Wisconsin has been #5 in both human polls for a while, 2 and 3 spots ahead of Stanford respectively. With Boise’s loss, Wisconsin will be at #4 in the human polls, while Stanford will be around #6 and #7. I can see the Harris voters and the Coaches voting Wisconsin above TCU if for no other reason than to eliminate all possibilities of an non-AQ playing for the MNC.

In that scenario, with either an Oregon loss or an Auburn loss, Wisconsin or TCU would be the logical #2. There is beyond a reasonable doubt IMO that enough voters will vote Wisconsin ahead of TCU to keep the balance of powers. The only thing that could hurt it is Wisconsin (and the rest of the Big Ten) being completely screwed over in the computer rankings, however I feel that will resolve itself by the end of the season.

I wouldn’t mind TCU being up there :0)

@ courtneyenpointe

Text-driving is as dangerous as being drunk and driving.

^

hahahaha…

grrr… how come I’m always away when all the posting stuff happens… >_<

Wow, I missed all this??? LOL!!

K for starters I’M A BOY!!! :)

Was out last night “getting laid” lol!! Nah, just had a good time with my crew!!

as for the fear of any of you being rapists… well I’m too far away to be a feasible target. Thats unless you have about $2500 to pay for a ticket to Kenya… :)

Hey does anyone know if stanford considers composite or single sitting… whats the deference/ acceptance rate in REA??

Well, you don’t have to worry about me being a rapist, and I don’t have to worry about any of you either since I’m in Dubai… xD

well, kimathi, you probably have to worry about me since my mother almost lives in Tanzania, and I’m supposed to visit her soon xD Btw, do Kenyan speak french?

They take your best scores from whatever sitting. I am not that familiar with the ACT but i think this means they consider the composite(?)

Umm the early action admit rate last year was 13.5% (up from 12.8% for the class of 2013) so that considerably larger than the 7.3% overall admit rate.

As for the defferal rate, while I do not know the actual figures, I do know that a very small number of applicants are deferred. Way smaller than the ivies…

“… almost lives in Tanzania??” What do you mean?

Haha!! I guess we need to pay for a new burglar(rapist?) alarm system!! lol!!

Well some Kenyans do speak French( along with a myriad of other languages) but if you are asking whether it is the official/national language? Well no! We were colonized by the British so most of our systems are British. Thus the official language is English. Kiswahili is an additional National Language though. Why do you ask??

Well, a big part of her company is located in Tanzania so she travels a lot there, so she spends more time there than here in Dubai.

Oh no, you don’t need to, if I really wanted to get into your house an alarm system wouldn’t stop me =P

I was just wondering.
I know that English is the official language, but sometimes that doesn’t mean anything. As here in Dubai, the official language is Arabic but you wouldn’t be able to live here without speaking English, while you could without speaking Arabic…

Well it depends where you live. In the capital, all major cities and most towns, a combination of English and Swahili is mostly used while in the country side, ethnic languages prevail. There about 40 different ethnic groups in Kenya.

This is directed towards a post on the last page:

It’s okay to say you like to party!!! Stanford doesn’t want a whole class of people who stay home every weekend. And a good amount of intelligent teenagers like to go out.

(PS: as stated before, partying is certainly a broad term)

hey kimathi thannks… so stanford dosent take highest individual section scores???

^

they have said that they will focus on the highest individual sub-scores across all sittings…
