wait 11 days? I thought it was 15

Good luck Courtney.

Thank god you’re not in my region, lol.

Gahh thank you BigKev! And seriously, thank you all of you guys! I don’t want to talk about it at school because I don’t want to brag, nor get all excited about it publicly before decisions are released. But to be able to be so supported by you guys, it’s just awesome ![]()
But seriously, how lucky am I to have a regional admissions officer who took the time to call my teacher?
My mom must have slipped some felix felicis into my water this morning…
And nooblet- they’ve released the Friday before December 15th for the last few years; we expect the trend to continue this year, which would mean decisions will be released December 10th, 11 days away :)

Hey if anyone wants to add me on facebook, feel free: http://www.facebook.com/Big.Wangsta

KNAVE KNAVE KNAVE~

…ahem. Yes. Procrastination…

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, this is the second time this month that I’ve been hit with a bad cold… Probably relapsed from my last one and now I feel much worse. Cough, sore throat, aches, and can barely talk…
Oh well, teaches me not to stress out too much. Like that’s even possible when I’m supposed to be finishing up my Stanford app and awaiting college decisions…

I still can’t believe it though Courtney, that’s awesome! Haha.

Knave, knave, knave. Funny, I thought I would be escaping Shakespeare’s jargon since I wasn’t at school today. Darned AP Lit class. Haha.

EMMA GO STUDY FOR YOUR TESTS AND GET OFF OF CC. I feel like I need to mother y’all… Come on children, let’s not make silly jokes or scare the newcomers, please.

Oh and for those of you who haven’t added me on facebook yet, please do so! I enjoy facebook chatting with y’all sooo much
http://www.facebook.com/courtney.tay

Aww Emma
I don’t want my hopes up too high. I’m so fortunate; I’m surrounded my a really grounded bunch of people here who are keeping my expectations realistic. I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE HOMEWORK TO DO. MAKE GOOD GRADES, NOT GOOD FRIENDS.

haha JUST kidding. Knowing people will be SO awesome when we ALL go to Stanford next year!

COURTNEY that is a fantastic sign!!! If I were you I’d be dying right now
Congrats.

No, I’m not dying; I actually think it’s horribly unfair! Of course, I am delighted to know what’s going on with my admissions process, but I don’t like having that advantage over you guys :/

well a lot of it is mysterious anyways so at this point, strangely, I can only feel really happy for others and just hope the best for myself
btw I added you on fb haha

Meh! I’m debating about whether or not I should rewrite my Why Stanford essay… I gave a copy of it a few weeks ago to both of my AP English teachers (the Language one from last year, and the Lit one from this year whom I’ve known since sophomore year). They both had totally opposite opinions! My Lit teacher would prefer that I extend the small metaphor that I used while the Lang one told me it would be much better to remove it. While they were reviewing it at the time, I actually wrote an entirely new topic for that essay. Pretty confusing…

It’s too difficult not knowing how best to write the personal statements. I definitely like the way they sound, but then I think about the committee and it makes me feel rather dubious.

Argh!

And this is why I’m sick… Oh the stress. Haha

I actually liked the essays I had to write for Stanford. Stanford definitely had a long supplement, but I felt like I could reveal a lot about myself since they asked so many questions.
