^ Depends on where you live. The 5 AM thing is Eastern Time… for me, it would be 2 AM because I live in California and we go by Pacific Time.

Well I just finished my Stanford application. Supplements, Common App, now I just gotta get a hold of my mom’s credit card.

I’m also getting my wisdom teeth out tommorow…actually like in 8 hours, so I had to finish it today otherwise I’d be way loopy when I tried to write my essays lol.

Congrats BigKev. And good luck for the tooth thing; I never enjoyed visiting the dentist :/

Haha, it’s gonna suck from what I’ve heard :(

I might be on CC like all weekend, since I don’t think I’ll be going out too much this weekend. Why did my mom have to schedule this on Halloween weekend…

Haha BigKev writing your essays on oxy might actually be kind of interesting… I’d be lying if I said I didn’t consider drug use to get me really creative, abstract essays ;)

Ugh, i failed the SAT. The curve was unforgiving. 2010. At least i got the year we’re in haha. That’s one part i SUCK at - standardized tests. IT was my first SAT though so yeah.

To be honest I don’t think SATs/ACTs matter that much for Stanford or any other top 10 college. As long as you have a “good” score you should be fine.

Yeah I know. I have a 31 ACT which is fine for Stanford. It was just depressing, i was hoping to go up a bit.

I’m feeling you. I got about 20 points lower on my math subject test than I wanted…

Is that a 780? :P

^

haha! nice one :p

my CR was on the low side… 680

I got a 35 Composite on my ACT, but I doubt that’s gonna help me too much…

Ooh that brings up an interesting question: super score vs non super score? I know Stanford technically super scores, but do you think doing well in every section at one time might be worth a little more?

Congratulations on applying REA! Best of luck to everyone!

They super score SAT right? NOt ACT though :/. Honestly, I think once you get 30 and above, you’re fine with Stanford. What did you get for math 2 Courtney?

@courtneyenpointe

It might be, as Stanford stands against SAT Score choice policy for SAT 1.

Wait wait… so Stanford doesn’t superscore the SAT? I was under the impression that it did…

As far as I know, Stanford will use your highest score in each section of the SAT to evaluate you. That said, they do require that you send in ALL scores. So they are against score choice, but they do use it to evaluate their applicants.

This applies to a lot of other colleges that don’t use score choice.

^

exactly.

Just to be clear, all SAT 1 scores.

They don’t care if you Score choice SAT 2

Yeah, SAT II’s aren’t required, so you can use score choice on them
