Official Stanford SCEA 2016 Applicants' Discussion Thread

I am getting the same feeling. I will be so letdown…

Today in psych my teacher was talking ABout a scenario where a student gets into the school of her dreams.and of course he used Stanford as the school…I pretty much died.

I think this will linger on until the 15th.

Which is sad, because I just want to know already!!!

I felt like I had ADD all day at school today. I couldn’t focus on ANYTHING.

it needs to be tmrw

@ jhannel88 I had my interview a week after I submitted my app. But I think you only get one if alumni are in your area…

^ That’ll hurt almost as much as getting rejected.

@Plasticbag, lol you don’t even know…(ADHD kid here :slight_smile: )

Guys I have faith they’ll be released tomorrow. I don’t know where the “sinking feeling” notion is, but all the logic in the world argues that tomorrow they’ll release them. And if they don’t, well maybe there’s something to this whole “sinking feeling” business after all.

Also, RE: CSS Profile discussion, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU…I can’t believe I missed that! I made a whole college organizational chart and everything to make sure I stayed on top of all my different submissions and fees and test scores and UGH! I thought EA had nothing to do with financial aid.

I wonder if admits who didn’t turn in the CSS profile on time are returned to the committee and rejected? It would make a bit of sense…clearly an applicant who can’t follow simple directions has no business at Stanford. I suppose we’ll see how that turns out.

I can see them not releasing them tomorrow because it is nearly a whole week before the 15th.

Ok what has even come out that even hints that decisions will come out tomorrow? I thought everything said the 15. Someone should call

Applying for CSS isn’t required is it? So I don’t think it would influence decision making. If it is it should have been better advertised with the EA application.

@rush10, its only one day earlier than last year

If you want financial aid, the CSS PROFILE IS REQUIRED! The deadline was November 15th for REA applicants.

Cornell released decisions today and Dartmouth is tomorrow…fingers crossed?

If you didn’t do the css profile it just means that if youn get in you won’t know how much financial aid you can get yet

when did stanford post the admission date on their website last year?

@jdlace, but it’s also required to receive any kind of Financial Aid, along with the FAFSA.

Yep, Harvard has finished making SCEA decisions.

Oh, Columbia released decisions 30 minutes ago.

not gonna lie, this whole “we go to sleep knowing that we have a 5050 chance of finding out our decision the next day” is pretty intense.

Are you positive? I always thought CSS was more like scholarships.

So, is it too late to apply for financial aid? I had no idea the CSS was due on Nov. 15th!
UPenn’s releasing tomorrow!
Fingers crossed. Do you guys know if there’ll be delays depending on where you live?
