So the REA FAQ page has been updated again as of 3:33 p.m. today. It no longer says “approximately 725” … it says “725.” The decisions are done, done, done!

@firstlast it will not announce your status in the heading.

Wow. Thanks.

About career plans… I want to double major in biology and anthropology and…errmm, be a writer? And work at Starbucks to support myself? Hm. Also considering a MPH and going into science/health activism. Maybe med school but probably not.

Tomorrow we know It has been nice lurking the forums with you guys. Holocene that sounds like an excellent plan, no sarcasm. If I didn’t love physics so much I would probably try my luck as a writer.

Since I haven’t been on this thread because of school, I will reply to haginrainbow (even though it’s pretty delayed and no one probably cares ahaha xD)
Haginrainbow, I would like to point out that every single verse you reference is from the Old Testament. As I said before, the Old Testament was before the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ and required capital punishment for those who would not turn their hearts to God. God sees our hearts and knows when there is no changing our minds, though He still is always willing to take in His people with open arms.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 KJV)”
Notice that this is the New Testament, in the new law under Jesus Christ. Jesus became a sacrifice for our sins so that we would no longer need to die for our sins; He did it so that we may live through Him. The Bible isn’t meant to be separated like this; it is one cohesive, living Word that must be read in full context.
To lighten the mood, here is a humorous Bible verse that I love:
“From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. Get out of here, baldy! they said. Get out of here, baldy! He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord . Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. (2 Kings 2:23, 24 NIV)”
Just so you know, in context, there is a lot more reason for him to curse them. They were cruel. This part in particular is just so random ahaha…oh, and it’s still in the Old Testament, by the way.

@darth from a few pages back: my grandpa started his doctorate at Stanford but didn’t complete it and he passed away in early December of 04 so I’m also hoping to get in and dedicate my time there to him.

Sorry for bringing religion up again, I felt the need to reply but didn’t see how far the conversation had changed since then. XD mehhh…I’m kind of apathetic about the official release day. JUST TELL US ALREADY GOODNESS GRACIOUS!

@holocene I am desperate to see him again… although he hasn’t posted any tour dates. I have a real passion for music (as I see you do, too!) and I talked about how Justin Vernon reinvented the concept of modern songwriting with songs like Holocene and Perth. I’m obsessssseddd. I don’t even care that he’s balding, I’d marry dat boy

Is the admission decision in the body of the email or do you have to click on a link which takes you to the actual decision email? Good luck all

I am like obsessed with music. It is my form of spirituality, in a way. I would marry him in a second. He would probably never marry a fangirl though lolol.
