[] Essays (Include Subjects):[list]
[li] Common App Main: I did topic of your choice and wrote a detailed essay on my nerdiness. Not unbelievably profound, but fairly down to earth and cute. (9)[/li][] EC Short Answer: About my involvement in and passion for my schools environmental club. (9)
[] Intellectual Vitality: absolute FAIL
procrastinated like crazy and made some glaring, unforgivable errors that caused the essay to be terribly confusing. (3)
[] Roommate: Brilliant, but definitely not enough to make up for my first essay. (10)
[] Why Stanford: Well-written, though I think my lack of research/effort may have been apparent. (8)
[] Other:[/ul]
[] Teacher Recommendation #1: My science teacher really liked me and probably wrote a nice rec. She recommended me for the science award. (7 or 8?)
[] Teacher Recommendation #2: My English teacher adored me (in an acceptance speech for me, he claimed I was one of the best writers out of the 3000+ AP, honors, and Academy students he had taught
a claim I find highly doubtful, but certainly to my benefit). He is also an exceptionally good writer. I expect that this one was especially good. (9 or 10)

Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Test scores, Recs, some of my essays
[] Weaknesses: Lack of involvement and leadership in extracurriculars
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Because I BSed my essays. I think somethings pathologically wrong with me
I procrastinated on every single one of my college apps. My Stanford app is the one that was hurt the most.
[] What would you have done differently?:[/ul] I would have started my essays a good month earlier. Even a week or a couple days earlier
not at 6:00 p.m. on January 1. It was completely stupid of me to think I could get away with writing the essays at the last minute.

General Comments:

Though I am a bit disappointed that I was not accepted, BY NO MEANS do I think that, had I started my essays earlier, I would definitely have been accepted. Thats simply not true, or even reasonable. I just know that, by procrastinating so badly, I basically erased any chance I had at acceptance. I had a shot, and I screwed it up :/

At least I have Berkeley Engineering to cheer me up :D
