Sarah Sjöström had an incredible swim! Looked like she did not take a single breath in the last 15-20 meters of the race! Oh, and she was the one wearing a cap made by Uniqlo.

I’ve never heard my husband drop an f-bomb while watching sports. Even when the Hawks lost the Superbowl. 
Well, he did it twice while watching Marchand swim the 200 fly!

The avg age of the USA women’s gymnastics team is 22 1/2.

Here is my little rant. I’ve looked at the gear offerings on the US Olympic site and just can’t find anything appealing. RL and Nike. Ugh. Meanwhile, Lulu’s official CPC logo leggings I have ordered a while ago arrived and look awesome. We need to ditch RL as the official outfitter of the US athletes! Sweden uses Uniqlo. Canada uses Lulu. We can do better than the giant pony logo stuff.

Great job by all of the women’s gymnastics medalists. It is amazing to watch them. They all exhibit athleticism, grace, and composure under extreme pressure.

The women’s leos have been beautiful (for US team and others). I think it is funny the men’s gymnastics has more costume changes than the women - long pants, short pants, on, off. The girls do use more tape.
I liked the way Simone and Andrade were being friendly before the final rotation. I was stressed, and that broke the tension.

I really enjoy watching the US gymnastics team, but I really miss how they showed lots of other countries, too. I felt like I was watching a competition. I feel like I’m watching a U.S. championship or something. Rant over.
As much as I love Simone, I just watched Nadia’s 1976 footage. Maybe it’s me, but she seems so much more “elegant” and fun in her routines. Her movements don’t seem as sharp. She seems so graceful and makes it look easy. When I watch the gals now, it just looks hard to do.

I was just watching Shannon Miller, also amazing. Now it seems more “athletic” vs then maybe it was more “elegant.” But they were definitely athletic then too. All great!
