3 days really, unless my math is wrong. Regardless, it will be here soon enough.

That would be long enough…lolz! But well, good luck to everyone!

~71ish hours until decisions? cant wait D:

hows everyone feeling about their chances? if Cal and UCLA have the same criteria then I’d feel pretty confident but they dont…

@rshie002

I LOVE Diddy Riese. And I know the homeless guy you’re talking about because he is always there. I feel a little bad when I tell him I have no change (even if it’s true), because I always do have a couple bucks on me since Diddy Riese is cash only. But I drive half an hour to get to DR and I am certainly not forgoing my cookie sandwich to give a mean man money.

Curious what everyone is applying for…I’m hoping to get into Haas.

Good luck, everyone! crosses fingers

@Houston

Hey I’m applying there as well. What are your stats if you don’t mine me asking?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using CC App

@houston I applied for American Studies, I love the idea of “creating” your own major and dabbling in the courses Cal’s departments have to offer. Incidentally I want to try to double major in English; I’ve fallen back in love with the subject after taking literature classes this semester. =P
Plus my friend is an English major at Cal and has told me all about how good the department is. ![]()
Decisions, decisions…waiting patiently for the 29th.

@houston42: Computer Science (L&S) here. :)

Best of luck to everybody.

@aoeuid I’m computer science L&S as well! How are you feeling?

I’m also CS (L&S) as well :-)

Two more days until…

my mom’s birthday!!! ;-)

@avantpelt: Just a little bit anxious. I’m not going to hate myself if I don’t get into Berkeley, but it would always be nice. Santa Cruz is my second choice, and I got accepted there long ago. :)

What are you CS folk’s GPAs like? I had a 3.71 after Fall.

@aoeuid: Congratulations on Santa Cruz! Are you thinking about the game design program there, or sticking to straight CS?

I got accepted to UCSB (I currently live in Santa Barbara) and am waiting to hear from CCS there. I’ll go there if I don’t get accepted to Cal, but I’d like to get in if I can. CCS has an awesome program, so I’ll be happy there too.

I have a 3.77 after fall semester, which I’m okay with, but I went to a four-year school prior to my current community college stint where I did not perform very well. I have a lot of extra units, which is okay for L&S, but still makes me nervous. I also ended up having to take an American Literature class online from another school (to satisfy Berkeley’s requirements), as it conflicted with another class I had to take. I hope Berkeley doesn’t care too much about that.

@aoeuid: CS major here with a 3.75 GPA after fall. I really want to get into Berkeley as well >.<. If I don’t, probably heading to UCI.

Berkeley please, crosses fingers

The berkeley thread is way more chill than the UCLA one which almost has 4000 threads due to the URSA hacks, myUCLA hacks, bruin card hack, email hack of last week and this past monday.

@Pinoiako: Is your first choice Berkeley or UCLA?
Somehow I wish there were “hacks” for Berkeley admission. But then again, I’d probably be going crazy right now and wouldn’t be able to study for a huge test I have tomorrow.

deanzatransfer- UCLA. For me, this school is better fit for me especially for my major. Psychology with an emphasis on neuropsychology. Similar to psychobiology. Especially with the med center on campus where I can do research. I plan to become a research neuropsychologist.

@aoeuid: congrats on Santa Cruz too!!! I heard that UCSC is also a great UC for CS and it is close to Silicon Valley so there are a lot of opportunities there. I regret that I did not apply to UCSC.

My GPA is 4.0. I definitely choose UCB if I got in. I got admitted to UCI but I don’t like UCI very much, even though they also have a great CS department. UCLA rejected me since I missed 3 prereqs, which is fine with me 'cause I don’t want to study engineering.

I hope that all of us would get into UCB
Good luck to all of us!

Hello, so I got into UCLA as a Philosophy major with a 3.63 GPA… Do I have a chance at Berkeley?
I am really happy with UCLA already though!

@berkeley phil i’ve been looking up statistics for philosophy (I too, applied as philos major) like crazy and you definitely have a chance… compared to other majors/departments, philosophy is a little easier to get into. 70% of admitted phil majors had a previous college gpa of 3.6-3.7.
[University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/statfinder/drawtable.aspx?track=1)
^^that’s the table I looked up…not sure if youll be able to click but otherwise you can generate your own by googling “UC Stat Finder.”
My guess is it could go either way for you…but probably an acceptance if you have a lot of ec/good essays/ finished the prerequisites.
good luck!

does anyone know how much harder it is to get into Cal as a transfer from a california 4yr private school? I hope my chances aren’t destroyed bc of this factor :/
