@infinitesome their system is pretty good and should catch any duplicate charges. But either way they’ll either refund it or give you a credit. A credit might be more like it.
If you see my above post you’re extra lucky you got in this year as an intl student.
@lindyk8, and it wasn’t very reassuring that Haas explicitly states on its website that “Transfer admissions priority is given to students who are US citizens, California residents, and are transferring from a California community college.”
I’m not a US citizen or a California resident but I’m transferring from a CCC.
I have been accepted into the college of chemistry for fall 15 as a chemistry major, which I was not expecting because I’m missing the English R1B requirement. For chemistry BS according to Assist.org, Berkeley expects you to have English R1B done by the end of spring 15. Although I have not completed the English requirement according to assit.org I have completed the breath English and composition requirment for transfer.
On my UC application I put down that I would be taking an English class this summer to satisfy this requirment, but under my condistions on admission it mentions nothing about needing to take this class.
I have contacted my admission officer to resolve the situation, but I’m wondering if anyone here has some insight to how the situation might be handled. I’m worried that my acceptance might be revoked.
@InfiniteSome I’ve had the same problem too $200 taken out of my bank account processed through and all but my SIR form shows to be incomplete.
I’ve sent them an email Saturday, but still waiting for a response.
I’ve also sent an email to the Admissions Officer who’s info was provided to my admission. She answered a different question I had within a few hours so I assumed maybe she’d be able to help me out quicker than the people who use that email I messaged prior.
Hopefully I can get it resolved by today, if not tomorrow.
From UC Berkeley Admission’s Facebook: “UPDATE: The SIR submission issue has been resolved, and a staff member will be reaching out directly to those who were affected by the credit card payment problem. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to our office during normal business hours. Thank you for your patience!”
Is it true that a day after we SIR, we have to select the housing option? I want to SIR fast, but I haven’t figured out my whole housing situation yet (roommates, etc.) A response would be appreciated. Thank you very much!!!
Hey everyone! I have a question about final semester grades for those already admitted to Berkeley. I am worried about getting a C in a class. How does that affect my admission?

This is late, random, and unspecific, but I know a PolySci major that got in with a 3.5, a Philosophy major that got in with a 3.9 (with no completed prereq’s), and two English majors that got in as well with all or most prereq’s completed, although I’m unsure of their GPAs.
