I’m thinking of changing my housing option from “on campus” to “at home”! My aid will definitely drop but it is stated that I’m eligible for Blue and Gold grant. Does this mean that my tuition will still be fully covered no matter what?

@BackNSchool83 Hey, I was wondering if you can answer my question, so I applied as PSB major and got waitlisted, recenty I got accepted off the waitlist but for my alt. Major which is Social Ecology, do you know how hard it is switch into PSB?
what are the housig options like for transfers? Specifically on-campus. Which are the better rated ones. Which ones have the best social atmosphere

Essays: Very strong considering my low GPA, I talked about my mental health issues that prevented me from getting the grades I wanted. And talked about leadership I’ve developed in starting the club.
Accepted: UCSC, UCI and UCSD(also off the waitlist)

Accepted into UCI through TAG
I am a CS transfer student from my local CC that is on a quarter system. I got accepted through TAG. A couple of courses UCI recommends to take, I have taken, but they aren’t transferable. For example, I have taken Discrete Math, but on assist.org it says no course is articulated for UCI’s discrete math. This has made me worry that I will have to be at UCI for 3 years to get my BS. I have been at my CC for 2 years. I plan to get my BS in another 2 years, not 3 years! Any thoughts or advice??

@kzad3000 hey, you can submit syllabus reviews for courses not articulated and/or test out of some classes (Python, Java, and C++). These have deadlines btw. I think syllabus reviews are three weeks prior to your orientation, and the tests are June 16th.

I have a few questions! What classes are preferable to take in summer which start on 25 June? Should I take major related or some non major classes in order to establish my UCI GPA ?
I was looking on the course webpage https://summer.uci.edu/courses/ and could not figure out which classes to choose for summer.

I’m still on the waitlist. Does anyone think I can still call the admission office and ask them if I can add an alternate major or to switch my major? I am really worried about myself after seeing many people got off the waitlist, and I really want to get into UCI.
You can ALWAYS call and ask.
I think a lot of people are getting this confused. If you are WAITLISTED that means you are rejected. It’s a softer way of saying no to your admission. You don’t have a spot. So please get over this school already and start actual planning for the upcoming school year. We’re not in 6th grade anymore. I’m not being harsh. Statistically speaking only like 3% of the waitlisted students get spots.
@JustgotintoUCSB what are you talking about? UCI is one of the schools with the highest admit rate from waitlist. I got admitted off the waitlist for CS (one of the most impacted majors) only a few days ago, and this whole month of waiting in limbo I was on the edge of a major meltdown and the only thought that was stopping me from falling apart was that a waitlist is better than nothing. How dare you take away the only hope people on the waitlist have? You are poison, go spread your hatred somewhere else.
