@BusinessBrah I was actually also offered both honors and regents and i confirmed (through the email they sent) that I will be joining their honors program. I honestly saw it as an opportunity to be part of another little community and have more interaction with staff (Future letters of recommendation). I also saw that honors students take a little camping? trip I think… It just showed me that they do little activities such as that together…I dont know, i just liked the thought of having another Little community to be a part of

vdcn was my fourth choice lol and that’s the one i got .~.
@evlinm1 thanks for they input. Yeah I agree the only benefit I’m really thinking is it could be a nice community to be a part of. As of now I’m thinking I’ll just join it and see how it goes and then drop it if it’s not my thing. So see you in the fall 
Really thinking I might have screwed myself over by ranking puerta del sol over vista del campo norte… (since i didn’t get my first option of arroyo vista) cause puerta del sols cheapest option is 670 (?) And the next two are over 1000. Soooo if i dont get my first floor plan/ housing option and instead get one of the others that are over $1000 I’m screwed…
@evlinm1 Hey, I also got an offer from Puerta Del Sol. Yeah they only have one option for 2 bed 2 bath. I didn’t even rank the other once because they are so expensive. I just put my deposit down for it. If you get a single room offer from PDS, are you still going to go in?
@buskev I actually started stressing out about possibly only being offered a single room sooooo I also put in an application for vdcn last night (just in case). I figured I’d be put on a waitlist maybe? There was no way I’d be able to pay for the single rooms at puerta.
However i juuuuust got my leasing offer from puerta del sol. They are offering me a 2bed 2 bath. So i dont have to worry about that anymore. BUUUT their leases are 12 month Aug-Aug. Fall quarter begins late Sept. (If im remembering correctly). So now im just thinking about how if I accept the lease, i move in way before school actually starts… This housing situation is complicated. It would’ve been so much easier if they accepted me into Arroyo Vista

I haven’t gotten mine yet and they said if I don’t receive one by 5 pm today, I need to contact VDCN.
@calbee yes i got an email with a housing offer/the lease at almost 1pm today. It says I have until this friday at noon to submit the signed lease

@calbee No I didn’t get any emails about housing yet. That’s why I’m worrried I won’t get a place I’m interested in living at. Do they prioritize by the time you submit your housing app maybe?

@calbee Have you gotten any email from VDCN? I first got an email from the housing department at UCI yesterday, saying I would be given guaranteed housing to Puerta del Sol and that they (PDS) would later email me directly with more info. It said that I would receive an email from them by today at 5pm and If I did not receive any email, to then contact them (PDS)(not that I would receive a housing offer by 5, just an email confirming they would offer me housing). So I’m wondering if it was the same for you?
@BusinessBrah The housing app from UCI? I submitted that…i think on April 26? (It was the last days of april for sure)
@evlinm1 I didn’t get a specific floor offer yet, but since we have 1 year guaranteed housing, I’m pretty sure I will get the 2bed 2bath one also. At this point, I’ll just be taking that offer because as a business major, I do want to live close to the Paul Merage building and PDS is pretty close to it.
Side note, is anyone here going to any orientation? Either Transfer Success, the one day orientation ($45) or TransferSPOP, the two day one night orientation ($295)?? I know they’re optional but I’m wondering if i should go to one…

I’m joining also for the experience, community and I’m hoping it’ll look good for grad school. Have you guys heard of the honors study lounge we have? I’ve heard of it but I swear its like a speakeasy, I don’t know where it is lol. Can’t wait to meet you both and the others in it!
@xushiroll I have no idea about the honors lounge. As a business major my lounge is the business building haha literally all my classes, advisors, and study rooms are in one building. The only thing I really hope to get from CHP is connections and to meet other motivated students, and honestly not looking forward to writing a thesis -_-
