Yeah I think I was a little confused about that at first cause I read a comment that said that about May 1, but for transfer applicants at CSUF and CSULB for example it’s June 1 to accept admission and pay enrollment fees for fall 2016 from what their websites say. Even still, since UCI seems to be kinda late on notifications since virtually no one has reported admission I do worry about it taking longer, but I’m sure it will be fine.
Well, April 15th is the exact mid-point of April so maybe UCI decisions will be released on Friday the 15th?
On MyAdmissions portal, it says my FAFSA has been submitted, but requests my proof of citizenship by June 17. Is that the case for anyone else too? Do you all think this means something, in terms of my admission (or rejection lol)?
I was told that none of the financial aid stuff is final till you are offered admission and so it is separate from admissions and therefore doesn’t mean anything. Once you do find out please update the thread
jumping on the bandwagon because i’ve been eyeing this thread for about a week or so now and figured why not! (esp bc like everyone else here i’m dying to hear back from schools haha) good luck to everyone applying!!

@ImBeggingYouUCI Yeah I have that too, they requested my proof of citizenship at 03/01/2016 which is the same day that I submitted my FAFSA. Was it like that for you as well?
As far as admission goes, I’m not sure what it means. I know there are some housing tricks that people have done in the past to help predict UCSD decisions but I’ve heard no such trick for UCI (yet).
1-2 more weeks and this waiting game will be over!!! Agh!!!
Could someone stat me? –

UCI IS MY DREAM SCHOOL. THE WAIT FOR A REPLY IS ENDLESS.
I’m missing 2 course from UCI it’s probably going to affect my admission.
UCI is also my dream school.
@yakattak How did you know SJSU wanted transcripts? I only found out because I read their Steps to Enrollment PDF after Googling “Does SJSU want IP transcripts?” The school never sent anything official asking for them. I’m glad the deadline is May 1st to send them because my brother wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t looked that up a week ago.
@100789 I knew from the ‘to-do’ list in My SJSU.
So… I’m applying as Mechanical Engineering as my preferred and Civil Engineering as my alternate, but given my class and stress, I want to drop physics 1D. How will this affect my admissions? I have every other major prep class available at my school done.
The drop date is this friday. Does anybody know when we’re going to hear from them? I heard it was friday or the 22nd with the 30th being the last day.
@ucplsnoticeme Do you believe you could pass the course? Any major prep for engineering is pretty important, and I wouldn’t recommend dropping it unless you absolutely had to.
I’m an Electrical Engineering major, so it might be a bit different for me, but UCI has listed my final major prep Physics course as a condition to transfer. I’m only required to get at least a C though. Now I only have to take up to E&M as an EE major, so your mileage may vary.
EDIT: I would also recommend you call up UCI’s admission office and talk to them about your situation. I’ve contacted them quite a few times this semester, and they’re pretty helpful/friendly!
I keep checking this thread daily hoping someone has inside info on a admission decision date.
I’m hoping they start coming out this Friday.
@boxandwhiskers Me too, Saul. (I miss Tobias tho)
It’s on a rolling basis I think. But all decisions should be out by may 1st? I got admitted about a month ago…
@Panorama14
Does anyone know if transferring from another UC to UCI affects when I get my decision? So since I’m last priority, would I be getting it at the end of this month? @-)
It’s sooo close but sooo far away :((
