@E2DuhJ I will be next year. I’ve got a few more prereqs. But I’m thinking I may be better off applying to CSUs. What are your stats?
I also applied to their nursing program! Did you finish their prereqs?
Hi guys!
Yea I am finishing up biochem this semester at my CC. I was contacted by the nursing administrator on February telling me I needed to finish 3 more classes in order to be eligible for their program in the fall so I signed up for those at their uci summer session.
I actually also applied to CSUs and I have already been accepted to the CSULB and CSULA nursing programs for the fall. However I would like to hear back from the UCI and UCLA before I make my final decision.
What would you like me to put down for my stats besides gpa?
@E2DuhJ we’re pretty much on the same page then! I’m taking ethics and ochem right now and some GE classes. Only class I’ll need to complete the prereqs is biochem which I’ll take at UCI this summer. I only applied to two schools and the other one is UCLA, which I doubt I’ll get into since I’m missing LIFESCI 2 and LIFESCI 3.
@cupcake925 with that GPA I wouldn’t worry. You’re making us lower GPA people feel even worse lol.
Nice man! how are you liking ochem? I surprised myself with getting an A in that class somehow when I haven’t taken a chemistry class in years lol.
Yea i have to take 3 classes this summer. And I am also very nervous and excited to hear from UCLA. Ah I see, well maybe they’ll allow you to take those in the summer?
I’m sorry if I made you feel worse The acceptance process worries me because I do not have strong background of ECs like most of you do. In fact, I’m a mother of two young children
My volunteer jobs are mostly working at my son’s preschool for few hours a month.
Any mother applicant here?
@E2DuhJ wow great job! I hope I get an A as well! Surprisingly I like ochem way better than genchem. I was originally taking biochem this semester but had to drop it because of schedule conflicts. Biochem is offered at UCI this summer, so I think they’ll let me. I actually just emailed them about it last night haha.
If you don’t mind me asking, could you tell me what those 3 classes are? I don’t have a hospital volunteer experience, so I’m nervous that’ll affect my admission
@squamous Yea I actually enjoyed Ochem as well. It was like a giant puzzle and it was a rewarding experience to complete. Right now, Biochem is getting the best of me though. There is just SO MUCH material and it gets overwhelming at times haha. I have some hospital volunteer experience so hopefully that helps my application.
So we should expect to hear back 21, 23 or 24 these three days…
hey,
I got accepted with Mechanical Engineer major, my GPA is only 3.6. So you guys shouldn’t be worry too much
@nhtrvn did you TAG?
When, today? Tag? Congrats
I did tag, but my GPA still a bit lower than other people, plus i ended up didn’t take one engineer class that is required by UCI. So you guys shouldn’t be worry @squamous @BackNSchool83
@nhtrvn you heard back today? What time?
@shch7898 It was last last friday
Okay going forward if you’re late to the posting game and got your admissions notice LAST week, don’t post or at the very least include something that states you received notice LAST week. Certainly does not help any of us who are anxiously awaiting news of the next batch of offers.
I mean we’re happy for you and all but obviously you late posters don’t share the same anxiety as the rest of us do if you’re just now posting about your admissions notice that you got last week.
I mean post but post when you received the notice so we could know
Is anyone planning on commuting to UCI? I cannot move into housing because I can’t uproot my family. But I’m also wondering if driving from the westside of LA to Irvine is a crazy idea…
