<p>@5nonnegotiables the reason I could do that is because I got it approved by the Dean. It’s easy classes for the most part. Also, I will be sitting at 86.5 units by the end of this semester which I don’t believe is over the limit. </p>

<p>Okay so I just called and they told me that I was missing Calculus 2 for some odd reason. So the tag was revoked, and my GPA without the tag didn’t compete with the other mechanical engineers being accepted. After a while of talking they told me that I should really try and appeal stating that my counselor started me in Calculus 3 because she didn’t understand how high school calculus didn’t transfer over with my crappy 2 on the ap test :’(. </p>
<p>@bigbd22, if UCSB is telling you to appeal that’s a good sign. So you’re in Calculus 3? Will you be getting a decent grade in it? If so, appeal, for sure.</p>

<p>Accepted sometime yesterday, I checked just after 5pm and it was updated. I’m transferring from College of the Canyons. </p>
<p>@lindyk8 No I took calculus 3 Fall 2012 haha and got a B in it. And I took differential equations/linear algebra and received an A so I am going to appeal and contact them to see if I could do an in-person appeal. </p>

<p>@bigbd22, If you did that and you passed Calculus 3, I simply don’t get how that can be their reason. It makes no sense. I think someone made a mistake and you stand a really really good chance on appeal. Good luck!</p>

<p>@Ameezus it shouldn’t! They are closed now but call asap tomorrow mooring and find out what happened. I was admitted yesterday and want to drop a course with a W I called them and they said it was fine. So I don’t think a W hurts as long as you don’t need that class for IGETC and as long as its not your first math or second english. The class I am dropping is a pre req. Just find out and try to see if you can appeal it. Good luck! </p>
<p>@sonic23 I need 3 physics course to transfer. It was the 3rd one. I dropped it at my community college and I am enrolled in it at Cal Poly Pomona through extended university. So technically I’m still finishing it by the end of the spring </p>
