Official UCSC Transfer 2012 Decisions

i thought sir deadline was june 1st

^ It is.

[Dates and Deadlines](http://admissions.ucsc.edu/apply/dates-and-deadlines.html)

@anexia,
i applied to SB as physics and got admitted.
Im waiting on SD and LA.
LA is probably my first choice but for graduate school, probably santa cruz or santa barbara. UCLA is probably a better experience for an undergrad but SC and SB prolly have better grad programs.

Im sorry…I mean JUNE 1st

@ kingdomsroa48

it’s not english, sry it’s “Literature”
urgh not even what i want to do so that’s why i could care less. lol
But yea i had everything done by spring so it is odd right?

I do remember reading somewhere that UCSC’s Lit major was in fact impacted.

@Cosmic- Hmm, thats odd. Did you have an inconsistent GPA or something in the past? I dunno! I think lit might be impacted up there.

Man, after hearing all of the UCLA decisions released today, I still can’t believe I haven’t heard from UCSC. I’m sad now. :(

Haha REJECTED :slight_smile:

Congrats on people who got accepeted :)

@kingdom

anyone planning to stay in the transfer dorms at porter? Im not like a drug or artsy type and I heard porter students are like that. Not that I mind them, i dont, but you know i like to party too!

I got in UCSC for this fall, anyone who from so cal got in UCSC and hv interest to go there?? and i think i got in for human biology. im from LA. anyone who is in UCSC or who want to go UCSC, please email me on andrewhu123@********** :)

the email is google mail :)

anyone who got in UCSC and may wanna go there plz send me a msg?? i am thinking to go there but im dont know anyone goes there from my area… im from LA… and im new to this btw… lol

^Im sure there are people from LA going up to SC, but its not a huge deal if you don’t know anybody. You’ll meet people when you get up there! Stay positive. :)

oh question about the transfer community internet access. Can you like play video games on a ps3 or xbox online? or do they block all that? Also has the cell phone reception for verizon up there. does anyone know!?!?

@Drem Yes you can play video games/xbox live, they don’t care. The tour guide that I had couldn’t tell me the exact speed of the LAN connection but all she said was ‘it’s fast.’ The wireless is just about in every building but not all. Verizon gets service basically everywhere by that i mean i never noticed my phone not having a connection but then again I wasn’t about to be on my phone a whole lot while visiting a college that I’m going to potentially be at for 2 plus years. Verizon has a detailed google-like map that shows exactly where their coverage is. You should check that out at their site.

@anythinggoes alright cool thanks I figured that would be the case but just was worried if they had proxies or something up, but doesnt sound like they do. And yeah from the map you said i should check out, they have 4g in all of santa cruz, which is a good thing cuz i have a 4g phone, so us verizon users should be good.

drop a bananaanan slug into a pool of salt

@jnguyen is an amateur. Everyone knows the quickest way to kill a b-slug is to pee on it. J/k no one should ever do something so cruel.

@Drem Yes! verizon may be a tad bit more expensive but truly has the best coverage by far!

Has anyone signed their SIR to UCSC yet and going to be staying at the transfer community? I would have but im waitlisted at UCSB and waiting for them to accept me! Although i’d probably still go to SC if i got into SB.
