I’m undecided, myself, about Summer courses so far…it wouldn’t be a bad idea, but I don’t know if the summer housing payment would be worth two classes…And as for the secret stuff, definitely! Unfortunately, they cut the branches of tree 9 down as to discourage students from climbing it…guess UCSC didn’t want a huge lawsuit on their plate for the actions of unruly students! I’m sure there are a plethora of other things hidden among the campus though.</p>
<p>@anything dude if i do go to UCSC, ill most likely be staying at the transfer community (im still waiting for UCSB, but even if i get into UCSB ill still probably deny it, but worth checking the campus out). And dude my brother gave me like a mini fridge that ill be bringing that will always be full of alcohol and beer. Actually the day i get there and my mom leaves im busing to downtown to stalk up, your welcome to join. And yeah it will be community alcohol, no charge or anything!!!</p>

<p>A little off topic but when me and MY mom were taking the tour and walking through quarry plaza, it was frat and sor rush day, one of the bros said like in his bro manner “After this ****, we gone SMOKE some WEED!” And I swear the other mom that was walking ahead of us, her neck almost broke whilst she gave the bro the most horrified ‘you just killed 30 kittens look’. hahaha i felt bad for her son that probably had a little more convincing to do when he got home. XD</p>

<p>Yes! This is very true…I had to turn in my residency verification so for the heck of it i drove there and people are really really friendly. From students to the people that work in the registrar office, it’s insane.
I know a professor from Stanford and she says the biggest problem with students there is their sense of entitlement. Like they can’t even enjoy each other and the place they are at because it’s all about ‘me me I’. Santa Cruz has almost the exact opposite feeling.</p>
<p>yeah its pretty crazy that even at UCSC stereotypes have been constructed, like that porter is a bunch of hippie druggie artsy people. Well **** the Transfer Community will be raging! But of course we will have to not disturb other students in the halls because that would be rude, and, thats the opposite theme of santa cruz! Lets just have fun people I have a couple friends that go there, one stays at cowell so we can party with her n stuffff. Oh btw read a review that said at the TC your gonna be taking dumps co-ed, and people have sex in the shower… just fyi… AND i hear that continue transfer students get priority for singles… not sure if thats true but be aware of that, just sharing my knowledge of the campus.</p>

<p>Yes I am trying to get a single as well. I just can’t imagine having to coordinate bedtimes and noise levels and music genres and tv stations and etc etc would be fun with some other guy.</p>
<p>All this talk is getting me VERY excited of this fall. Can’t wait to meet all of you someday! I’m definitely down for some hanging out and exploring all that SC has to offer. :)</p>
<p>@anythinggoes ya dude I feel you but im gonna assume that MOST people have those same concerns and so everyone is going to be pretty cool about sharing a room. Like say if i go to bed at 11 typically and roomy asked " hey i might try and go to sleep early around 9 could you keep it down a little please" I would be like ya no problem buddy. So if you are unable to get a single, then hope you get a cool roommate! beds looks kinda lame though does anyone know if single beds are larger than doubles?</p>

<p>I shared a really small dorm at sfsu freshman year and it ended up being a lot easier than I thought. Whenever my roommate wanted to sleep early or anything I’d just head over to another friend’s room or to the lounge or something. </p>
<p>Anyway, looking forward to meeting everyone who ends up at SC!</p>
