***Official University of Michigan Class of 2015 Decisions Thread***

Yes, I’m from Turkey. More specifically Izmir.

Washbound- tbh I don’t totally believe that you got in if your stats are what you said they are. GPA and test scores aren’t everything but they are something and neither of yours are up to par. If you actually did get in with that, I feel bad for a lot that will be rejected instead of you.

CiaraxMist - Please don’t miss your housing window waiting on an applicant. Even if he were accepted, he does not have time to get into the system (deposit, etc) for housing selections purposes in YOUR time frame, I suspect. And it sounds like you are later in the lottery for Northwood. Things fill up pretty fast.

Kmcmom13, don’t worry, I’m not that stupid. I signed up for housing and will transfer my contract to an incoming freshman when my friend gets in. =]

question for those deferred, does your mid year report show up on wolverine access? i know it says downloaded on thecommonapp but its not on my wolverine access

Congrats man!!

It’s really frustrating waiting for the decision from December. How long must we wait???

Anyways, OMGMIT I am also of Turkish descent although living elsewhere now!

My mid-year report doesn’t show up on WA but I called them and they told me that it’s normal. They assured me that they got my extra recommendation and my mid-year report.

We have to wait until mid-March at most. We, deferred EA applicants, can hear from them at any time.

@goblue2015
What a coincidence, world is really small. :slight_smile: Have you ever visited Turkey?

@OMGMIT:

Nope. Unfortunately not. But plan to go there some day! :slight_smile:
And is UM your definite first choice? I think I’ll be going if accepted. Hope to cya there man!

And how sure are you that we have to wait till mid-march only since the email they sent says mid-april?

It is my definite first choice. Actually I applied to Harvard too but who am I kidding, that’s not going to happen. :slight_smile: So if I get accepted to UMich, I will definately be going. I hope to see you there too.

When I called the admissions about my mid-year report, they told me that I will definately hear a decision until mid-March. The guy on the phone was repeatedly saying “definately”.

“Yes, your application is complete and we got your mid-year. So you will definately be hearing from us until mid-March. Let me check something else… Yes, definately. Umm… You will definately be hearing a decision until March 15th.” :)

wow. Cool. Mid-march is just a month away!! April seemed really far!

And Good luck to you man!

GO BLUE!

@Wabashbound, did you apply for admission beginning Summer 2011, or did you apply for Fall admission and they are requiring that you start in the summer?

Applied EA for Fall 2011, got deferred, then got accepted Feb 7th, granted I attend the summer 2011 semester with successful completion.

You may actually hear sooner than mid-March. They told us repeatedly that we would not get a decision until April, even when I pointed out the problems that would cause with Campus Day etc., and we heard Feb 4! Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you and checking on you every day!

If I were working in an IT department of a university, I would add a counter to the applicant status check page and check how many times an applicant checks his status until the decisions are announced. It would be interesting to see whether the applicant with most checks got accepted or not. :D
