Official Unofficial Class of '11 Thread

^ NOT FAIR. I have like 3 weeks left. =/

Grr im jealous of those of you who are done with school.
I have this week, and next week and then IM DONE

My schedule next year:

AP Eng Lit / IB Eng HL Year 1
Physics EM / IB Physics SL
IB Bio HL Year 1 (AP senior year)
IB French SL
APUSH
AP BC Calc
AP Psych/ IB Psych SL

I’m kinda dreading the summer. Only 2 weeks at home. >>. Freaking 3 different nationals (NFL/CONA) to go to and then debate camp too. Ima die. And I don’t have cases or anything. >>.

i get out june 4th -___________________-
then i have the sat subject test june 6th

My last exam is June 23rd. =[

For the SAT, I’m taking one subject test this year, and probably two next year. I’ll also take the PSAT in October (going for NMS Finalist) and the SAT in the winter (and then again in the spring if I need to).

I’m out after next Tuesday.

How much homework do all of you have this Memorial Day weekend? Apparently every one of my teachers thought the other teachers wouldn’t give out any homework, so all of them gave out homework and now I have 5 BIG projects to do this weekend. =[ I was going to go on a trip but I had to cancel it at the last minute because how much work I have.

Plz Accept me Columbia lol

Like 240 worksheets, literally.

Yeah my teacher’s were brutal, especially chem (about 3-4 chapters of notes, 80 or so problems) and english (research paper). Way to ruin a perfectly good 4-day weekend :(

^ 4 days?

^Yeah, 4 days?

I bet no one else has 5 essays…for 5 different classes!

Yep you guys don’t have a 4-day weekend? I won’t get out of school until June 12th, though.

I have 3 days, “get out” June 12th, and take exams until June 23rd. =[

School’s just about winding down for me… both AP classes (Bio and US History) are virtually done, so that’s good.

Next year’s schedule:

AP English Lang
AP Calc BC
Honors Chem
AP Econ
Spanish III
AP Comp Sci
Band

Extracurriculars: band (I could possibly be a leader… should find out in a few days), debate, treasurer of my youth group

I’d also love to go to Ohio State (preferably the honors program). Been a fan of them my whole life, and contrary to popular belief, it is actually a very good school. In-state for me also.

I’m looking forward to the summer. I’m a counselor at a day camp, and while it’s actually a lot of work, it’s fun also.

Yea, I was very fortunate in getting little to no homework this weekend, so I’m very happy. I don’t get out until the 19th though, with the last three days being finals. I’m taking two subject tests (Chem and Math I), and I still have a lot of review to do -_-

chocobok, are you doing research with a professor this summer? I remember we were discussing that a while back.

I’m contemplating actually contacting some professor now… what’s the worse that could happen (other than ruining my reputation at a potential future university, that is).

nah, I decided I wouldn’t…Quite frankly I’m too lazy, and I feel like maybe I shouldn’t be jumping into too many things. I was thinking during the summer I would study for the SAT, volunteer (since it looks like getting a job/internship isn’t happening) or figure out an innovative way to make money, audit Calculus at the local CC, hopefully start the organization I was thinking of…Oh and go on a college trip/ vacation to San Francisco!

Yeah, so mostly relaxation, and a bit of work fit in seems like a good way to go for me, especially since I feel so burned out right now. Maybe I’ll do research some other time? I was thinking if I did, I probably wouldn’t formally go to a lab with a professor, just do as much as I could on my own. And yeah, after falling asleep constantly in Chem for the last month, I’ve decided maybe I shouldn’t be trying as hard to get into science if I don’t enjoy it (brain research would be cool though!)…I’m thinking I will just stick with humanities, which is what I like to do best.

class of elevennn.
i go to a dual curriculum school jewish/secular so my course load is slightly ridiculous.
AP us history
english
physics
algebra 2
all three are honors
plus 4 honors judaic studies classes.

gotta hate balancing social life with school. college seems right aroudn the corner.
SATs are gonna suck
I think I will take the literature SAT II as well
I already took (And scored well) Hebrew and Chemistry
Extra Currics:
Choir, Editor in Chief of Literary Magazine, Model Un, Weekly correspondent for the school newspaper, hockey.

its a mouthful but that is junior year in a nutshell. not including tentative plans to apply for TASP and Bronfman.

maybe i’ll have a moment for fun?
Anyone have thoughts about the summer after Junior year and what programs to apply for?
sorry bout writing a novel

@boinkk, I don’t know what you’re into, but if you like humanities/social sciences, TASP is really, really good. I’m applying next year. :D.
