Yeah, I’m freaking out about the PSAT. I’ve studied, but I don’t know if it’s enough to make the cut off for National Merit Semi-Finalist.

I’m sure you will do fine:) Have you done any practice tests yet? They should give you an accurate idea of how you will do.

I’m completely freaking out as well! I’ve taken just one full practice test, and did okay but not as well as I hoped too. Originally I REALLY wanted National Merit, but I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen. Especially because I go to school in Massachusetts, which has a really high cut off usually.

On that note, can anyone confirm that the National Merit cut-offs are for the state in which you attend school not which you reside? (boarding school?)

Good luck to everyone, keep posting with updates! :)

^Massachusetts has the highest,(223) sorry:(
California- 218

PA-213 or it might have been 209 last year-sigh i need to study

Ugg…me too:/ Did the link help you at all though?:>

We had “college day” today and it was pitiful. We had a lot of colleges but most of them sucked and were giving away free applications to try to meet enrollment requirements. We also had two unaccredited colleges and 3 community colleges–which made up a total of like 45% of the colleges there. We had 2 colleges in the 20’s (ranking-wise), and one in the 80’s. Everything else was like 4th tier…the Top 8 school like 1 hour away didn’t even show up.

Aww, sorry:( I’m assuming that you want to go to an Ivy league school?

It’s because I go to a really small school and we just kind of attended an inner-city school’s college day. I don’t want to go to an Ivy. I think I’ve posted this but my list is:

UChicago, UNC, NCSU, PSU

Sorry, I honestly forgot haha. O ok, that makes sense. Is your school having any other college fairs?
