I mean…I’m only take 2 APs, 4 College Courses, and 2 honors courses. Of course… my senior year is 0.0

I think that’s fine:) Just maintain a good GPA:) Wait, you’re a senior? What schools are you applying to?

No, I’m a Junior… I meant that my senior schedule will be a lot more impressive–and stressful.

O lol, got it. I’ve always wondered how colleges weigh your senior year. I know it’s important to a certain extent, but wouldn’t they weigh junior year more? I’m not sure. You’re taking four weighted classes, right? (I’m not sure if your school weighs honors though) That’s pretty good:) What are you thinking of taking for your senior course load?

I’m taking 5 weighted classes  Colleges do put a lot more emphasis on Junior year, but I took the most rigorous courses I could…I’m the only one in APs or any “real” college science/math class. I’m still afraid I’ll be overloading and I’m still moving things around with even next semester, but my tentative plan for senior year is:

Summer: Civics and Economics Honors, ECO 252: Principals of Marco-economics, Psychology Honors

Senior Year

1st Semester (18 hours)

CHM 251: Organic Chemistry I
ENG 231: American Literature I
MAT 273: Calculus III
PHI 240: Introduction to Ethics
PHY 251: General Physics I (Calculus-based)

2nd Semester (16 hours+1 HS course)

BIO 111: General Biology I
CHM 252: Organic Chemistry II
Forensics Honors
MAT 285: Differential Equations
PED 128: Introduction to Golf
PHY 252: General Physics II (Calculus-based)

This still doesn’t seem impressive to me…I have problems :/

Introduction to Golf? Is that a PE course? Wow, so you are taking mainly college courses? Sounds awesome to me:)

That’s what I’m intending to use for my PE credit…we have an odd system for PE here.

I’m actually only taking the 2 APs this year because I need them for my diploma program. I need 1 college history credit (APUSH test) and 2 college composition courses (AP English lit test) which will allow me to complete 2 diplomas at my community college–which will make me exempt from General Education Courses at any 4-year public in my state.

I can’t believe that in two years we’ll be in college.

I can’t wait to be done with high school. I’m ready to meet new people, have new friends, and have a fresh start.

I hate P.E. at my school. We only have it once every four days, but it’s come to be my most dreaded class. In past years it hasn’t been that bad, but so far it’s been awful.

I’m so ready to move away to college, high school classes have way too much BS work, most of the other students are so stupid and immature, and teachers don’t really care. I’m with you on being ready to get out. :)

We don’t even have PE, even though it’s a graduation requirement (long story).

Yes. Two years (and a few weeks worth) of high school is more than enough for me at this point. It’s redundant, i’m sick of the enviornment, and am ready to join the heaven that is college.

Hell, I was ready to move on in 8th grade.

I bet you 2 months into college we’ll want to escape that too.

I have exactly 319 days of school left before I graduate. 0.0 I mean…wow

I know college won’t be Heaven…but it will be so much different that there will be some many different aspects we can enjoy and lament.

For me though with dual enrollment, I have to realize I don’t have 4 years after high school–I have 2. Honestly guys, I’m thinking of becoming a lawyer–possibly doing a JD/PhD program, and then joining the Air Force. I could be guaranteed the rank of Captain at age 23. Before the age of 30 I’d likely be a Major, pulling in 70k in mostly non-taxable income, along with a ton of other great benefits and a chance to move and experience a lot of different places. I would get a total of 60k in retention bonuses, and would only have to pay up to 10% of my income for my first 10 years after law school, after which the rest of my debt would be paid by the government.

Anybody else thought of what they want to do? I mean, for me 100k/year+benefits by the time I’m 40 is a pretty good deal for a non-super-smart person.

Like partying and sex, 24x7.

^ lol.

My older brother hated high school, and now he LOVES college. (When he comes home, all he wants to do is go back)

It’s starting to make me nervous that I don’t know what I want to do as a career after college. I want to be passionate about something. I think if I knew, it would motivate me to work harder in high school.

^I’m with you on that. I have no idea what I want to be yet…and I definitely do not have my income and how I’m going to pay off my debt sorted out haha. I’m thinking I’ll double major in something though. Maybe something Humanities related and then something medically related. What about everyone else?

I was thinking of become a professor but I realized I wasn’t a talented teacher, not incredibly intelligent, and I would like to actually make some degree of money in my life.

As for becoming an attorney, I don’t want to spend like a 100 hours a week in a firm. I don’t want to be forced to defend and prosecute corrupt institutions or corrupt and influential people–and I don’t feel I’d have to do any of that in the military. I’m going to have to think about it a lot more…but it’s definitely on my list. :/

^Definitely do what your interested in:) I personally couldn’t be a lawyer in cases where I would have to defend someone guilty or acuse someone innocent either:/ I’m still thinking about mine too. What kind of lawyer would you be?

Lawyers FTW! Lol, I’m with you, I don’t want to defend guilty criminals or corrupt corporations either. I want to major in biomedical engineering, minor in business, and go to law school. I would very much like to become an intellectual property lawyer. I might want to get a masters in BME before law school as well, or do a JD/MBA program.

I’m into helping the world. And science. So I want to help the world through science by doing pharmaceutical research. I think. I wanted to go into med school, but I really didn’t want to spend the 10 or something years in school.

12 days until the PSATs! I really need to spend some time studying every night this week…what are other people’s plans for studying? There’s so much homework, I’ve suddenly forgot about National Merit. ahh.
