I’m going to do Nanowrimo too! It’s challenging though, 1600 something words a day. haha.

My junior class is more laid back. We have like 450 kids, and most of them just do their own thing. Within the Top 10 there is some competition, but not cut throat.

^^What do you do for the competition? Do you just write?

^^^^ You don’t win money. You just get a certificate and a badge saying you wrote a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. That’s basically it. People do it because it’s fun. It’s also a self-motivating process for writers who always wanted to write a novel, but procrastinated to start one or finish one.

I suppose that’s a good idea for people who love to write novels!:>

We have block scheduling at my school, and i’m in a conflict on whether or not to take the AP European History exam, since I might have forgotten a good chunk of the information. I’m taking the class right now, but the class will be over by January. I wouldn’t want to pay $86 for anything less than a 4, so…any suggestions?

I would still take the test. You can always get a review book.

^Thanks for the response.

I was thinking the same thing, but there will be like a 4 month respite between the time I take the class and the actual exam, so I’m a bit skeptical. There was only one kid who got a 5 last year who took it 1st semester, and that’s the first time it’s happened in a couple of years.

I think you’ll be fine. People take AP tests without even taking the class. My friend studied for 3 hours total and got a 4. If she had studied for a couple of weeks in advance, she probably would have gotten a 5. I would suggest that you buy/borrow a review book a few weeks in advance and study. You should be able to recollect the material as you study, making it easier to retain everything for the test. It’s up to you but I’d take it:)

Thanks. Looks like i’ll take it. I already have a review book for it anyway, and I just found out I got a 97 for this semester. :D

^Very nice:) Wow, are you already done with your first semester? I’m glad you’re taking it!:>

^How far are you in your semester.

How far is everyone?

We just finished half of our semester last week, and we’re starting a new marking period.

O ok, so you likely won’t finish your semester until January. That’s about when I will finish too. It seems like several people here end their semesters in December so I thought I’d ask.
