Why don’t you just take one class? Are there specific sections that the courses focus on?

Civics and Economics Honors (Grad requirement)
ECO 251: Intro to Microeconomics
ECO 252: Intro to Macroeconomics

I need at least one of the ECO courses for the college diploma I’m earning and I need both in order to get the equivalencies of the higher-level “Introduction to Economics” courses at the 4-year schools I’m looking at.

O ok, well I hope you enjoy the classes:)

Haha thanks Wartsandall, but I feel like maybe doing some summertime research now. Brown was AWESOME, but I don’t have a spare $5K now, but that experience was worth every penny. :)

O wow, yes, definitely save the $5,000 for college:) Good luck with the research, do you know what you might be doing it for yet?

Thanks Wartsandall Uhhhmm, I am still looking for somethign to research, something biomed would be awesome!

Do you guys talk about college, etc. with your friends at school?

It’s definitely been coming up more and more in conversations, but I always say I’m not sure where I will want to apply. Sometimes I feel like my friends expectations are not realistic, but they obviously don’t have the same college admissions knowledge that I have gained from CC.

Actually, not really lol. They get pretty annoyed when I do haha. This website enables me to talk about it as much as I want:) I feel like I’ve gained a lot from CC too.

My friends and I don’t really talk about college a lot. Like I just went on college visits over fall break (Thursday and Friday.) So I complained about how hard college is going to be because I want to go into Pharmaceutical Sciences and the ciricculum seems way hard until about the senior year, which is mostly electives. Probably not fun electives like bowling or whatever. But still. It’s not more OChem and Engineering Calculus. So yeah. It comes up, but not enough. I try not to force it because talking about college in real life scares the crap out of me.

^Cool topic. I almost never talk about college with my friends, and also say that I’m “not sure exactly where I’m looking” and such (although I have a moderate, tentative list already). I just feel like so many of my friends either have outrageous expectations, or don’t care nearly as much as I do. Plus, finding CC has been probably the single most useful thing for me in the college process so far. The last year of discussion here has helped me so much. :)

im in classes with a lot of seniors, so i talk college with them occasionally.

I don’t really talk to my friends about college. They either have no idea where to go, or they want to go to state schools. Well, except for my one friend, who changes her mind every time she goes to a college fair, haha.

Hmm…so, does anyone have any plans for Halloween?:>

I’m going trick-or-treating as a lumberjack. And then (hopefully) getting a sugar high and staying up til midnight to start NaNoWriMo.

Ahh, I’ve been thinking about doing NaNoWrimo for months, but I don’t think I’m going to do it. :(

Too busy. I don’t want to start it and not be able to finish.

I don’t even know what that is lol
I think I’m going trick or treating with a few friends:)

NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month. It’s writing a 50k word novel in the month of November.

Last week, I went on some college visits and felt like I was kind of set on college. But then I was just asked how I still feel about Purdue a week later. And, um, I just kinda said that I didn’t really want to go there. But at the same time, I don’t think I want to go to Central Michigan anymore. I’m in like this frustrating place in which I kind of think I know what I want at this point, and it’s just finding it is the problem. I’m think I’m too picky.

Haha, well hopefully you decide soon enough:) You still have time though:>

yeah… it gets all awkward when i talk about colleges to my friends because i do have high aims and then they want to go to some local universities… which causes them to be all annoying and what not.

just out of curiosity, how competitive are your junior classes? like are all the people in your grade really cut throat or are they just laid back.

id say for my school we are all really competitive which sucks at times.

We act really laid back. But, honestly, our class academically is really hard core. Basically, anyone who wants a chance to be top ten, is taking at least 2 AP classes, which is kind of a lot by our standards, being that AP Science is two hours. And our typical AP options for juniors consist of: 3 sciences, AP US, and AP Lit or AP Language. I’m only taking two, since the idea of APs really scared me. So… Yeah. We don’t act cut throat, but we kind of are. Even though the really high kids think class rank is bull.
