Official Unofficial Class of '11 Thread

My semester ends in January, but I take my AP US final the week before break. But we’ll still be doing work that effects the first semester.

At my school, we’re doing a fantasy science league. All of the AP Science kids are players as well as a few wildcards from Physics. And I’m super excited about it. Only I’m nervous for the first test. It’s on physics, which I know nothing about. But it’s projectile motion, which I think I can learn about on the internet if I have time this weekend. Since this weekend is going to be nuts.

This year first semester ends in January and second semester ends in June. Next year first semester ends in November and second semester ends in January. ;)

^^Lol, that sounds like fun!
Wow, you have a two month semester next year?

If effort is indeed what counts, then yes.

Awesome! Do you go to an online school or something? I can’t imagine a normal public school semester only lasting for two months.

A two month semester? Wow. 2 months to me sounds like it’d be the first trimester of the school year.

First semester ends next month for me 0.o

I was referring to senioritis…you guys aren’t very good at this. ;)

Nice one, I didn’t even catch that.

^^ We end in the middle of January (boarding school, very long breaks). We have three trimesters of grades but only two actual semesters for classes. Very weird and confusing.

Bump.

How is the H1N1 affecting your schools?

At first there was mass hysteria about it, and people were like OMG swine flu, but now it’s died down.

Hahah yea, same here.
In our school, after people got the vaccine, they were trying to get out of gym by using the “H1N1 vaccine is making me walk backwards” excuse.

They bought some hand sanitizer for some classrooms and that’s about it -.-

A couple private schools around me closed for a little bit because of swine.
A pretty big amount of kids at my school have gotten it, but besides some extra hand sanitizer, it hasn’t had much of an impact.

I wish I went to Exeter or Andover.

We had more than 50% of our students with it (and my school is REALLY tiny) so we haven’t really had classes all week. Which is crazy, and really stressful.

I’m sorry:( If it has affected the students at my school, I still don’t think I can acquire it. (online school)

Nothing really. We’ve had hand sanitizer and a few kids have received it, but that’s pretty much it. No hysteria.

***?! Warts, you go to an online school now?!
