The college I’m looking at that’s farthest away from my house is Stanford. ~3,000 miles away.
A lot of people in NC tend to stay in-state.

My whole sleep schedule sucks. I stay uptil 3 a.m. and don’t wake up until 3 p.m… Talk about disfunctional.

^^ I’m mostly looking at schools two-four hours of home. I want to get out of my area, but I live in an area of the Northeast where there are so many great schools nearby. I’d rather not go all the way across the country for college.

Hi, I’m class of 2010.

I remember being a junior.

The farthest one I’m considering is seven hours away in Iowa. The closest an hour away in Chicago. So I’m kind of all over the place. Most people here (Indiana) find themselves at Purdue or IU.

Farthest I’m even remotely considering isn’t actually the farthest in distance, but it’s in a different country. Closest one is about an hour away from where I live. I’m considering a school or two in Canada, UC schools, lots of schools in the Northeast and a couple in the South. But guys…
FIRST WE NEED TO GET OUR AP/SAT EXAMS OUT OF THE WAY lulz

Those tests can be the deciding factors. That’s why I haven’t made a complete list of schools yet.

^I don’t think AP exams are deciding factors but they can help/hurt you. The SAT is probably the biggest test that matters in college admissions. SAT > SAT II > AP

I’m taking going to take any SAT II’s since I’m not applying to any super selective colleges that need them. So, I’m not gonig to waste my time/money. I don’t see AP tests making that big of a difference in getting into college.

Haha, sorry, I was referring to the SAT and ACT tests.

Past few days, I’ve been up until 5am, but I’m not allowed to wake up past 1pm. I guess it’s a good thing, since I have to wake up at 9 on Saturday and then…ugh…back to school on Monday.

scholastic art and writing deadlines, ughhh >_<

I can take calculus-based mechanics next year, but not electricity and magnetism. I’ll have to do it during a 5-week summer session after high school ;_;

yeah,rachel 525… deadlines frustrate.

happy new years everyone!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and welcome to a new decade.
■■■■ I just realized that there are exactly 5 months until my junior prom and I haven’t began to get ready. Something tells me my ma’ll be nagging me through the whole process.
Resolutions anyone?

My resolution last year was to not make any resolutions I can’t keep…so this year I’m not making any at all :P

Ew, resolutions are actually super hard to make!! It’s hard to think of one that is actually realistic and plausible… like you can’t say “I want to grow taller!” or “I will stop procrastinating!” cause those are basically impossible T____________T

didn’t make any this year. It doesn’t matter too much, honestly. All my resolutions are unrealistic/improbable. Plus this year, I think most of them would focus around college, which is the 2nd 1/2 of the year. and honestly I’m having a hard time thinking that far ahead right now.
