Hey guys, my status changed to “need more information” however what I “need” to submit is “Final HS Transcript w/ Grad Date” however I already submitted this information and my high school transcript shows on my “received documents” - twice even (because I also applied out of highschool), but apparently they want it again? that’s super weird. They’ve gotten it twice. What do I do?

@stephenchristian

so the people in your group have been accepted alreadyy? didnt know they already sent out acceptances for transfers…

@hooploops

how was your GPA first quarter?

@californiagrl106: I’m currently at a 3.7. How about you? :)

@iwanttobeatusc

No, not necessarily! I remember getting my acceptance packet in the mail around mid-may. At this point, I don’t think transfer admission decisions have been mailed out. I remember always being on the online system waiting for my status to change! I would check it all day, every day. But anyway, the group is not only for the accepted students. Since many of you are waiting for your acceptance letters (which you will get!) feel free to join the group page as a place for support! Trust me, it helps so much to at least make some sort of connection. Once you start at USC, you will already have a family to begin with. That’s how it was for my group page last year… my previous group has become an amazing group of friends.

I have a 3.5 at a UC. So my GPAs a little lower :/

Hi there, I am a freshman film student applying to the SCA. I was just wondering if a 3.72 GPA in the Syracuse film program stacks up well for the Film & Television Production program. At my school a full-time student is defined as someone who takes 12 credits (4 classes), I am taking 18 credits (6 classes) each term. I have not received SGR and my Spring GPA will be 3.5+. I had A’s and a few B’s in high school and got a 1930 on the SAT.

@iwanttobeatusc i got a 3.42 first quarter

So if your first sem GPA wasnt up to USC standards, would they reject you directly or ask for your spring grades?

Jw because my first semester GPA turns out to be a 3.2 - obviously WAY below avg!!! But I am applying as a communications student and hope that they see my 2 A’s were in Journalism and Film (media-based? idk?). I was also abroad that semester so I dont know if they’ll understand that it was my first semester EVER in college so I had a hard time transitioning.

And now my current semester so far I have 4 solid A’s and one A- so I think my GPA will jump up very drastically if I keep this up and can bring up that A- to an A. :(

depends, are you a sophomore transfer? If you are then they’ll determine if your spring grades are worth looking at through your high school record.

i hope not since my grades are like that too!!!

Anyone have an answer to my previous post?

@kaikomai call admission office and check it out.

the wait is getting so bad that I’m reading transfer threads from 2009 and 2010. some SGRs go out this week, right? I think last year and 2010 a few acceptances came out this week as well

does anyone else not have the “check application status” box anymore on usconnect? i now have 2 different boxes for “enrollment commitment deposit” and “rsvp for admitted student programs”

^ Dont people only get those boxes after admission? I remember that being a way to check before the letters were sent out.

@ilovescience

yeah i agree with hopefulgraduate1 i think this means youre in!!!

can i ask what major you applied for, your stats and if you are a freshman/sophomore applicant?

Yeah I’m also pretty sure that means you’re in! Congrats!! Anyone else’s status change? Finally some results coming out…

@ilovescience Congrats! I think your in… IM SO JELLY! I’m dying waiting for results

So, I’d love to go to USC but I’ve heard mixed things about their fin aid for transfers. Does anyone. know? Are they known to give very little or not? What about need based? Merit?
