I’m majoring in Occupational Therapy. So I’m not Marshall. Haha haven’t been on in a while so I just thought I’d stop by. I feel like such a procrastinator, I’m just finishing up the last of my writings. :0

how many copies of our transcript would usc need? and do we need to send in sat scores and ap scores as a transfer to usc?
Is there a difference in major because im majoring in EE?

Just one copy of your high school and community college trasncripts would be sufficient. As transfer students were not required to send in any SAT or ACT scores, but if you feel they may help you, send them.
As far as your major, it varies for all of us. For instance my particular major requires me to send in three letters of recommendation as well as a whole seperate essay to the department.

Applying as an International Relations Global Business major.

Getting really stressed out about my common and supplement essay. Relying heavily on my essays cause my GPA isn’t impressive. Have a lot of work experience though and great letters of recs. Also, I’m a legacy. SIGH, is anyone else stressing out?

^ I am! I finished up my essay but am having my friend and her college professor sister look it over this weekend. I’m hoping that my extracurriculars are taken into account because my stats are weak, imo. 3.7 with 26 credits is nothing to write home about.

I have a 3.2 right now, taking 25 units this quarter (KILL ME) but i know i can do it. Hoping by June I will have a 3.5

Applying for English

SWNDEE- what are your stats? And gousc92, do you have a title for your essay?

^ScGal12: Oh wow, impressive! I wish I could’ve overloaded like that. I was itching to take an intro French class this semester to complement my German studies, but it was far too much effort to request an overload. Oh, the joys of the bureaucratic college experience.

And no, I haven’t titled it. Were we supposed to? :O

Wait so do I need to send in highschool and college transcripts postmarked by February 1st too? I’m just applying this year and I have over 30 credits.

Also do I need to fill out a Collegeboard CSS Profile AND FAFSA by Feb 2nd even though I’m just applying too?

^Yes, because they need to verify that you’ve graduated high school.

And yes, because that’s the deadline and if you miss that, you’ll probably end up with a reduced financial aid package.

gousc- Yea, i have no social life. Study study and study. I really want to send in my winter grades to show I can get a 4.0 with that load. Hopefully it will pay off, well i don’t think we need a title, but then again…I’m not sure.

Wow, I’m coming late… I’m applying for Marshall as a junior transfer (I’m in my sophomore year now)

International student:(((((
TOEFL:114
Currently studying in a pub U in America
GPA 4.0
59 Credits completed plus 16ing
great letters of recommendation
enough EC, hopefully…
relatively good essays

Glad to have you all along the journey! Best of luck to everyone !

@hmuzify
I just go 85 in my toefl, but I will have another one in Feb. Hope that won’t affect too much.

To Anyone who know about it:
what USC will more concern about, the GPAs and EC?

if I got a LOR from instructor of my from USC Marshall alumni, will that help, too?

I’m freaking out a little because I didn’t know we had to send in transcripts by feb 1st since none of the UC’s asked for it… Can we send in unofficial transcripts? I have a copy of my high school transcripts in front of me and I’d like to send it out myself or does my h.s. have to send it out with their seal? Thanks

Last year extra curricular activities were not taken into account. See below post(s) from last year. They are not written by me. I just saved them knowing this question would be brought up. I wish I would have saved the usernames but these responses can be found in last year’s thread.
However, I tend to agree with the post below concerning ECs.

ScGal12- Whoa, I have 3.2 as well… It dropped like crazy this fall semester. I am taking 18 credits this semester. Sigh, hopefully my essay and work experience are taken into account and they give me a chance.

^I wanna know the answer to angie’s question tooo :[

Any one in here post there stats?

This question is for everyone applying to Marshall as a junior transfer…what math class have you guys completed to date?

I’m stressing out cause I’ve only completed precalc/trig, and I know 1 calc class is required. I’m going to be taking it this coming semester…Will that hurt me? As oppose to have taking it earlier?

Also, have you guys taken accounting? How much of the GE requirements have you completed?

Can i except any problems in starting the FAFSA + CSS Profile tomorrow? i’m taking a really heavy class this winter and have been really busy. is there any delay or waiting period between registering your FAFSA/CSS forms and submitting them that could prevent me from turning them in on time?
