mike011x: Thats why I was going to go there lol. Now Im at Pasadena City College, #2

@jrnavid me too. I sent my PCC transcripts online on the 27th and USConnect still says they haven’t received them.

@mike011x did you call and ask to find that out?! bahahaha. impatiently waiting D:

Now that I think of it, I don’t believe there is any way for them to show LORs received on the portal because there isn’t forms to accompany (unless you send the CA Instructor Eval). Before USC moved to the CA, they had individual forms with bar codes identifying which form would correspond with a specific document.

I could be wrong though.

I sent out one of my community college transcripts for a high school art credit about three weeks ago and it still shows as “required (while all my other stuff got in even though I sent them a week later).” I think the college itself didn’t even send it out and charged me for it. Ridiculous. And they don’t even pick the phone up.

Edit: i’m also completely unsure if my professor even sent out my LOR for Annenberg. He said he would and I gave him all the specs and even got him a Starbucks gift card a week in advance to remind him, but I feel like I would bug him if I asked anymore. I’m just not even sure about anything lol. I guess if he never sent it out, then i’m automatically ruled out for Communication without that required LOR…annoying. Super stressed with schoolwork and on top, this. Whatever. At least I applied to CLAS. As long as I get into my second choice, I’ll be very happy…I hope I do…I’ve just been working too hard.

@lullabies

I actually went to USC (it’s only a bus ride away for me), walked around campus for a bit, spoke to an admissions counselor, checked if they received my “materials” (they did except for my LOR), and had a late lunch.

You can call them to see if they have your stuff too. The admissions number is (213) 740-1111 for status checks. Be sure to your USC ID ready before you call.

Best of luck guys (and gals)!

I’m pretty sure it’s quite normal for it to take a while to update. I attended a few different high schools, and had to have 3 different high school transcripts sent to USC. Had them all sent out about 3 weeks ago, and none of them are showing in USCConnect. I’m sure they are just busy sorting all the documents they are receiving from the thousands of applicants.

@redwings532: Did your final high school not have your transferred credits from your other high schools?

In accounting class …

Just got off the phone with USC, they said they received everything I sent with the exception of my college transcript and letter of recommendation for Annenberg. I had the transcript rush-delivered two days before the deadline, but as redwings said, it takes a long time to process everything.

Has anyone ran into this problem with the letter of recommendation specifically for Annenberg?

@DJ
Don’t worry about it because I called and asked about the recommendation thing and they said that just send it as soon as possible. I had to do recommendations too. I was suppose to send off 3 but was only able to send 2 at the time because my other recommender hadn’t sent it out yet. But I would just ask so you aren’t still thinking about. Just email him if u feel that way but it is annoying when you don’t know if ur recommender sent it out or not on time. lol

@smalon3d
Thanks! yeah i didn’t even know about uploading them to USConnect. I didn’t do it through Common App because all of my recommenders thought it was just easier to write it and print it out and then mail it out. lol

@silverrex ummm maybe give it some more days? Like until Friday I guess. Because as long as you get the additional docs in 1-2 weeks after the deadline it’s fine. I asked about my transcript being late.

I finally called and they said they received it but my prof I think sent it around late dec early jan. it’s still not updated but on the phone they said they do!

@gousc92 - They did, but one of my high schools was out of the country, and used a different grading system. So I felt it was important for them to see the grades, as they were transferred to my American high school quite…weirdly (in a bad way).

Is the wait slowly killing anyone else?

This should be classified as a cruel and unusal punishment :[

unusual***

The wait is making me antsy too! May just sounds to far away :(

yeah i know the wait is gonna kill me too! lol But I’m just trying to get myself busy by just focusing on school. It makes everything faster.

Did anyone receive a fee waiver for their CSS profile?

Just got an email from School of Cinematic Arts saying they haven’t received my letters of recommendation yet even though I called and confirmed on the phone with admissions that they have received them.

What’s funnier is a representative from Cinematic Arts told me to submit the Letters of Recommendation through the common app through the “Additional Information” tab, and that they would receive it that way. But they didn’t. I understand with all the applicants things can get lost but still it’s kind of funny. Well, more stressful than funny.

@smalone3d
yeah i just got that email also. I think that they still need 1 more of my recommendations. They said it has to be in by Feb. 17th and that you can email it to them. But I’m afraid that by doing it that way it would lose its authenticity unless the recommender emails them but thats a little too much. But how did you put it in the additional information. Did you put all of your recommendations in there and put it on a word document and then upload them? But that is messed up!

Also for transfers that were trying to transfer into USC as a Junior u didn’t have to send ur ACT/SAT scores because we have more than 30 credits right?

^ Correct, If you are a junior transfer then you don’t have to put your scores.

I didnt even take the test. (thank God)
