Official USC 2012 Transfer Thread

^I’m assuming way after decisions. Maybe in their brochure for Fall 2013?

So there you are my long lost friends from SPPD! Im also applying for Price but in Planning

@jamesbball911

I’m a first year right now and hoping to transfer to USC next fall. I saw that you were a sophomore transfer from uci in your posts? I’m just curious about how adjusting to life at USC was as a transfer. Like where did you find housing/who did you house with, were you able to find a good group of friends, is USC life a lot more work, and how does it compare to UC life? (Sorry, lots of questions haha)

Hey guys did anyone else get an email regarding for additional Financial information?
"Thank you for your application for 2012-2013 financial aid. At this time, additional information is required to process your application. To ensure you receive the most aid for which you may be eligible, please submit complete information and meet all published deadlines. "

soooos - did university housing and lived in one of the dorms for the first semester and it was fun. got to meet a lot of people at the dorms but they were all a year younger than me so i wanted to try something new and second semester i moved to the apartments at troy hall. if you like to party and stuff it’s tough to find parties and meet people if you’re a transfer compared to an incoming freshman, obviously. ive noticed a lot of male transfers join frats right away so that they can meet a lot of people their own age. also usc isn’t a lot more work but it definitely is a lot tougher than it was at uci for a variety of reasons. compared to uci, usc is a LOT more spirited and social than your average college.

@goforit1: I didn’t and I hope I don’t lol. It would be so difficult to get signed copies of my parent’s tax returns since they’re overseas -_-.

But that looks like a very good sign.

@james: Do you find it easy to develop a professional relationship with your professors? I’m considering grad school so recommendations will definitely be important for me.

@goforit1: yeah i just got it. I was hoping it wouldn’t. But I don’t know when my parents ar going to file so this might be a problem. I didn’t think there was a deadline when to send them I thought u just sent it whenever they file.

Yeah I got two different emails. The first one says that I’m REQUIRED to submit it and its addressed specifically to me. The second one looks like its pretty general says “Don’t miss out”. Did everyone get two?

YES. The fact that USC is so spirited makes me soooo excited!

My high school was the furthest thing from spirited. My current college is PROBABLY EVEN WORSE. I can’t stand not going to a spirited school as I loved cheering on my own school and reppin’!

Sorry, my excitement just exploded.

@BlackRose21 did you get two? my parents haven’t filed yet either :/

@lullabies: I hear you there! My current college is DEAD in terms of school spirit! It only gets revved up for game days and that’s probably only because of the partying that goes on afterward, not because they genuinely like their school -_-.

I only got the “don’t miss out!” deadline one, not one to send it anything.

Viterbi’s “thanks for your application letter” has a hand written signature at the bottom which is nice

I just received a letter thanking me for my application. DOES THIS MEAN THEY GOT MY TRANSCRIPTS??? Sorry. I think everyone is pretty much over worrying whether they got our materials. Heh. My courier is on the way anyway…

Yes! I can’t wait to be a Trojan and be part of USC! It’ll be my first time in the US, I hope I get to meet lots of GREAT people! And I’m really excited by all the activities too!

@soooos2 Hey, I’m a first year at UCI too. Trying to transfer as a junior though. What major are you applying as?

I don’t think I can wait until May or June to find out.

I’m a freshmen at Uci too!

@xkrystle I’m actually not at uci but another uc, so I just wanted to know how USC compares. I’m hoping to be admitted as an open major!

Hi what if you didn’t finish the english classes can you still transfer?

^Don’t quote me but I remember reading that the english requirements along with the math were required for admissions.

@xkrystlex3
@goforit1

Make that three for UCI!
