Official USC 2012 Transfer Thread

@somebeast and @bandit1990 depends on what year you’re transferring as. If it’s sophomore transfer, then I don’t think you do, but if Junior you do.

@xkrystlex3 & @kevin4082003

What school are you applying to ? What year are you at UCI?

@goforit1: Marshall, 1st year (applying as a Soph transfer)

@kevin - i believe u were the one who was trying to pm me a month or so ago. my inbox was full so could u pm me again possibly? if u have any questions about applying to marshall from uci i could help you out.

@jamesbball911: Yup, that was probably me, haha. Will do. Check your inbox.

What will happen if my parents don’t finish taxes by March 2nd?

@kevin omg me too!! I’m a freshmen. Applying to USC annenberg…

@james do you remember the official date that you got your acceptance

@aisl09 I was wondering the same thing ! Was yours required? Mine was… I called finical aid and they said that if I get accepted then I won’t receive as much as I could have… Unsure what this means? Is it a good sign? Perhaps passing the first round for scholarship consideration

@somebeast and @bandit1990 lady from admissions today told me it was more of a recommendation. But I’ve also heard required. I’m applying as a sophomore and won’t have english completed.

@goforit1: I got the same thing. Unfortunately I don’t think it means anything other than what it says. That they actually just need more information on your financial aid. My parents are self-employed so we get these kinds of reminders all the time. I think it’s part of the setting-up process for your application, which they’re probably doing for transfers right now. I don’t think they’d be through to scholarship consideration yet, I bet they’ve hardly begun on transfer applications in general. But I could be wrong, let’s hope! =)

@teddygrams aw really? Dang I’m hoping it means more!! I think they have started though since all scholarship applicants are suppossed to be notified by April 1st… At least from what I hear… So that means they would only have one month to find scholarship recipients and send out notifications !

@ jamesbball911.
I am a freshman at UCSB. Have a 3.67 through one quarter, on trojan transfer plan, have brothers and sister that go to USC. First, what do you thnk my chances of getting in are? And more importantly, when did you recieve your Spring Grade Request and then when did you your acceptance letter?

@goforit1 yeah they’re required for me, but i don’t know if i can get them in on time. i wish the deadline could have been later. Also hopefully they review transfer applications later because they still haven’t received my transcript yet. :(

just curious…why are all of you trying to get outa uci? lol

^^ lol i find that ironic as well. UCI didn’t have a great business school and it wasn’t much of a college vibe so I can sort of see where they’re coming from. I got my SGR sometime around mid May I believe, but since the UCs are under the quarter system, I wasn’t able to send my transcripts for spring until around June 16th or so. Got my acceptance later on July 5th. Remember, those applying from UCs are going to be finding out later than most students because of the quarter system.

HAHA UC Irvine is definitely a great school but in terms of my major they don’t have communications or anything that really relates to media. PLUS it definitely isn’t much of a “college vibe”… I mean…it’s Irvine.

@jamesbball911 REALLY? NOT UNTIL JULY? HOLY COW.

@jamesbball911:
yeah I try to email back and forth every once in a while. Im really nervous about getting in because idk if I have a shot or not! Is there anything special you did to get in? like call the admissions daily or anything. I am applying to Marshall.

I’m applying for Marshall. I’m a first year with sophmore status. Getting into the business program here is hard and I’m a bus econ major right now, but i wont to take mgmt class. All classes for bus econ are econ classes -_____- I love the people here, but the administration people really don’t care about you. It sucks.

Does anyone know what the Schedule D from Parent’s Federal Tax Return is??

And it says they haven’t received my transcript, but I just called and they said they have received it and told me to ignore what it says online?
