Since im taking calculus and the writing requirement this semester do you think they will ask for a SGR? (im a junior transfer)

Ugh it’s been a month and they haven’t recieved my transcripts. I may just settle for U Miami

@Pedobear if you haven’t called to confirm, they probably have them. When I called, the guy said that the USConnect site isn’t accurate.

^Yeah, I called to clarifymy received docs, and they said they have everything.

This new CA switch has really been buggy for USC’s portal.

Just wanted to chime in that I called to ask if they had my documents since the site said they had not received my transcript, but they did have everything. If you sent everything in before the deadline, it’s pretty certain that they already received it but haven’t updated it. They have everything they need from me, so now I just sit back and relax…

@Jeremystory: Yeah, there’s no way they’d have any decisions within the week.

I remember hearing back last year as a high school senior around now, or even maybe later. Many high school applicants haven’t even heard back yet (from USC or other colleges in general). I agree that even late March sounds pretty early (though apparently there is confirmation that someone had heard back by then last year), it wouldn’t surprise me much if they’re planning to BEGIN evaluating transfer applications within the next week, if not later–as my Financial Aid information was just recently updated, which leads me to believe they’re still sorting the materials/kinks out of all the applications in filing right now. I don’t think USC is really sweating the transfer applications, especially now when their primary first-year applications are so tantamount. It says on the status of USConnect that they will try to meet their deadline for all applicants by JUNE 1ST, I’m not sure why they’d be blasting through everybody to get that done significantly earlier than they’ve told us to expect.

Like DJpsu2015 said, now is the time to sit back and relax and focus on your grades without the added stress of having to submit applications. After all, it can’t be that hard to NOT worry about something for the time being, can it?

LOOK IN LAST YEAR’S TRANSFER THREAD!

Last year, decisions were not released until LATE MAY!

Things may change some with the Common App, but there is no way that it will be in March.

Actually some people got their decisions in late March and April.

DivZero,

I looked at last year’s stat thread and a FEW people got their decision late-March and early-April, but most notifications seemed to roll in around late-April and all throughout May.

Edit: What Ngarcia3 said. Woops, didn’t see his post lol. I just repeated him.

Crap!! Is it mandatory to submit the Income and Expense Declaration Form (Parent)? And also is the Non-filling Statement Form (Student) mandatory? I filled out the Non-filling statement after March 2nd but I turned in my FAFSA, CSS, and Parents’ Federal Tax Form all on time.

Will this decrease the amount of financial rewards I might get??

@msrv99,

I can’t be certain, but I would try to get that in asap. I had to send some of my parents tax income stuff later than the deadline because it wasn’t released before that. They said to get in the materials asap but understand that some aren’t released. I wouldn’t rely on this answer, though. Give them a call and explain your situation.

Slow thread this year.

I’m surprised that last year’s had like 240ish pages! But yeah, this year’s is slow compared to last year’s. Just waiting for decision any day now…it’s too suspenseful for me to take!

Im sure this thread will reach 240 pages by June. I expect things to pick up by the end of next week.

I’m referring to the lack of activity on the thread. Currently, the thread is averaging a few posts per day compared to a few pages last year. I remember waking up to check what I had missed and having to go back at least a few pages.

Either way, I know the inactivity does not correlate to the number of applicants.

And Garcia I believe DJ was saying at this time last year there were 240 pages.

Just found this, already applied to USC for transfer from Creighton. Visited last week and it was amazing. Any frat stars here?

wHAT eLSE have you applied besides USC?

I believe that decisions dates depend on school as well. I know that most Annenberg transfers found out around end of march/early April. It depends on how scholarship as well because most of the time they let scholarship recipients know early.

Is the only way to learn of application acceptance by mail? Or is there a way of finding out online / any email notification?

The reason why I ask this is because, as an international applicant, it may be 1-2 weeks for the international postal service to deliver an acceptance letter (fingers crossed), and I can’t bear waiting any longer than I have to for a decision!

Hey guys… I was wondering… For fafsa… Are we supposed to turn in our parents tax forms now? Or will they notify us after our admittance? What else do Se need to do after just applying?
