Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

@ajmy17 Thanks for answering! It just doesn’t seem real yet…just the other day I had a “Midterm Review” box for high school seniors and I thought I was going to be rejected because some comments on this thread had me convinced that the Midterm box was a bad sign. Plus, my “Application Status Check” has not been updated yet and when I click on the “Enrollment Commitment Deposit” box, it only says, “Thank you – This site is not open to public access.” So even though I am very optimistic, I don’t want to get too excited if it’s not true…

Hello everyone,

I received an SGR back in April and I still have not submitted my spring grades due to the reason the semester ends at the beginning of June. Today however my USConnect portal changed and i now have the enrollment commitment deposit box as well as other new boxes. Im a little confused and concerned now. Is this some type of error or something?

@Random LOL…

@Kevin, that’s interesting. Stats and info??

So, I sent my unofficial spring grades to my admissions counselor this morning… I just checked USConnect, and the 'We have requested your spring grades." or whatever message isn’t there anymore, and my spring semester transcript is no longer listed in the “required documents” section.
Anddd I just checked OASIS…apparently WRIT 140 + another course (can’t remember what it was called) were deleted from my cart on the STARS audit report.

I’m pretty sure this means absolutely nothing except they’re reviewing my app. So nervous now!

@MissOptimistic: You’re in. Congrats!! Some people have reported that the enrollment box initially doesn’t work, but eventually (I think a day later) you’ll be able to pay your deposit. What are your stats?

@KevinKevinKevin: You’re in, too! Congrats! Not sure how you went from SGR to Enrollment Box without submitting grades…Stats please?

Oh yea, and congrats to everyone who’s gotten in already!

@MissOptimistic I have the same message when I click on the box. I believe somebody reported that they had this problem but they very next day it worked for them so don’t worry. and Congrats! :]

@lachica, what was your spring like?

Lol I have no idea what a lot of you are talking about Oasis, enrollment box, blah blah. I am waiting on my letter in the good ol’ fashioned postal mail, not stressing about it.

@tom: I mean, they were okay. Fall sem I had a 4.0 with 6 classes, and spring I ended up with a 3.8 in 5 classes. My grades went something like… 2 A+'s, 2 A’s, and a B in a Mythology class that I might have hated a little… lol.
I’m kind of hoping this doesn’t put me in the ‘reject’ pile. I can deal with a spring admit, though.

Congratulations, Mr. Kevin K. Kevin… or should I call you by your villainous alias, KKK?!?

@LaChicaBuena Thanks! I’m currently a freshman transferring from a top 50 private university. I got a 3.68 GPA the first semester and I have a 3.87 this semester (though USC has not seen/asked for my spring grades).

any idea when we will receive financial aid award packages?

The acceptance package comes with two booklets:

  1. “Welcome to USC”
  2. “Living at USC”
    Under the Financial Aid section it says “If you applied for financial aid you will receive separate notification of your financial aid eligibity. Make sure you have completed the steps below, and respond to any requests for additional documentation within 10 days.” No specific time frame, sorry. I have completed everything and my financial aid is still PENDING.

@futureMD10 same with me, i called this morning and they said it would be up by 5 today. came home checked and still nothing

has anyone been rejected yet???

Anyone here has any information about when Annenberg will release the decisions? Or anyone who applied has receive either SGR/acceptances/rejections?? I have nothing now and is so anxious about it. Please let me know and thanks!!!

@JR2013, I dont know anyone who got rejected… Probably nobody got rejected

Pretty sure at this point the rejections will be sent after all the acceptances. Crudely enough lol.
