My status initially said June 1st, then changed to June 3rd and has now changed back to June 1st. I don’t think it’s a big deal. I’m more excited about USC showing up in my MDCAPS thing than anything else.

Have no idea what that means if that shows up on that… Definitely pretty cool though.

So about how many transfer applicants get SGRs? Most? Some? Few?
About how many applicants get accepted with an SGR?

No SGR here yet, but I am transferring with 60 credits so maybe they’re just not interested in one. Then again if 2012 is anything to go by May is full of SGR requests

@Keignat- Yeah, that’s what I’ve noticed. I was so excited when I first got it, but considerably less so now that I’ve learned how common they are l:

@sophiaeliana I think you should still be excited by a SGR. I mean, at least they are showing interest. Personally, I’m ecstatic about getting one.

@ajmy17 Don’t get me wrong, it is more than I expected initially. The problem is, now that I know there’s a chance, I’m getting all excited…which would then stink if I’m rejected after getting my hopes up :(

@uscgirlclassof15 0.0 - 3.1 and 3.1 - 4.0 is also the rejection range as well so ya … lol

@sophiaeliana that is weird that you got an SGR, mind me asking what your stats are ? like Pre Reqs Ge’s and what not.

wahh. has anyone in Annenberg gotten a SGR?

A little tip for y’all

What’s the average GPA to get in as an English major? Comm major?

@Transfer20I3

Freshman at a junior college. poor grades freshman/sophomore year of hs, but good grades in APs & IB junior/senior year.
IR major- completed 10 poli sci units, 20 ge units.
Girl Scout Bronze/Silver/Gold Award, 2190 SAT, Greek folk dancer/instructor, environmental club vp. The thing is, I’ve only completed one honors english course- not two like recommended. I called this morning, though, and the women I spoke to said the equivalent of an honors writing course is all that I really needed.

@sophiaelianna lmao you got an SGR cause your a sophomore transfer … I was tripping out for a second … a Juniour transfer with 4.0 GPA AND most GE and Pre Reqs finished got a SGR? lol ya I think you got a SGR cause your a sophomore transfer and you don’t have level 2 English completed … nice sat score that hopefully boosts you =] Gluck ! I’m guessing dornsife ?

@sophiaeliana I know what you mean. It’s hard to not get your hopes up and set expectations! I’m having trouble with that as well, haha. I agree with Transfer2OI3, you definitely got a SGR because you’re a freshman who will be entering as a sophomore.

@Transfer20I3 & ajmy17
Ohhh really? So all sophomore transfers get them? Shoot
Thanks! Yes- International Relations. Do you think the fact that I only have one English done will hinder my chances?

Yeah, most likely if you’re going in as Sophomore, you will be getting an SGR.

@sophiaeliana I don’t think it will hinder your chances because you will be going in as a Sophomore. It would hinder someone who will be going in as a Junior though.

@sophia whats ur major

@alaintran9 ahh shoot, and here I thought it was a good sign haha.

@JR2013 I’m an International Relations major

Anyone think USC is holding back transfer letters until after May 1st, so they know how many spots open up after the enrollment deposit deadline?
