Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

At this point, USC has put me through the ringer so much that if I get denied, I am not going to pity myself. I WILL FEEL BAD FOR THEM - because they made the wrong decision hahahaha

Hey guys! Sending good vibes to all of you. I received a SGR on April 29 and I applied to the School of Dramatic Arts as a BA Acting applicant. I’m at a CC now and I have straight As this semester. It will hurt so much if we all wait until the middle of July just to find out we are rejected…but in all honesty, do you guys think that if you get a spring grade request and you give them straight As that they are likely to reject you? This is an agonizing process.

To everyone that has received a SGR:

Guys, I think we all need to relax. After parsing both decision threads and transfer threads of the last 3 years, it seems to be quite unlikely to be rejected after receiving an SGR. The only cases I observed of rejections after Spring Grade Requests were SIGNIFICANT drops in GPA, I’m talking getting a 3.7 and then a 2.8 the next semester/quarter. As long as you stay somewhat afloat, I think you are a safe bet for admission.

Anything from Annenberg guys?

Hi guys, what does a filled out oasis look like?

@Karlos‌
Congrats!

@Karlos Congratulations!!!

@Karlos Congrats man! Good luck at USC!

Congrats! @karlos what are your stats?

O… my… gosh @karlos … even their acceptance packages are beautiful… I want one!

@Karlos Definitely, congratuation

@bballprofessor23‌ I don’t know how accurate your statement was about the SGRs from previous years being positive indicators, but that gave me a lot of hope. Aggies stick together!

Sigh…the wait is killing me or rather all of us

Do they notify you for an SGR through email or usconnect?

@ipodtouch99‌ i applied to Dornsife with major in English! :slight_smile: keeping fingers crossed!

@bballprofessor23‌ that is a very VERY helpful observation

To everyone who received SGR: how did you get the message? is it on USConnect? Or they sent it through e-mail?

@randombookie‌ @transfersammy‌ It isn’t a message but when you click on your application status check on usconnect and it should say “We have requested your spring term grades. We mailed you specific instructions on how to submit your grades for expedited processing. We hope to receive the grades before June 30. We expect you will be notified of our final decision by mid-July”

Oh alright. I didn’t get ANYTHING yet… I am literally worrying so much right now. Thank you @usctransfer28
