Does anyone know how spring grade requests work ??
What sort of GPA are they expecting ?
Do they make a decision of a cumulative GPA or more emphasis on that spring semester ?
Seems like a lot get spring grade request …

@uscgurlz I believe it’s solely based on the spring grade (Called SGR for a reason!). They already have your current cumulative GPA, so it would only make sense how you’ve been performing afterwards

I am seeing a lot of Annenberg applicant freaking out on here. After reading some of the comments as an Annenberg applicant as well I am now somewhat worried. I mean if you are a 30 unit transfer I am pretty sure it is not Annenberg or bust. They still might accept you into USC just not Annenbeg. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

@whamson I am Annenberg applicant as well. Feel like I should have changed major for better chance…Sigh…
3.83 GPA by winter, finished 66 units, processing 14 units… More likely get rejected

Has any neuroscience major got accepted to USC yet? I didn’t complete 2 of the pre-reqs for neuroscience. I was wondering if you need complete all of the courses that USC suggested in order to get admitted.

So I haven’t gotten a SGR but I’m going to send them my spring semester transcripts anyway. Does anyone know if we can send them as is, or are there any special instructions on sending them?

@asdfg789 USC connect says they will mail instructions to submit an sgr. I just mailed them my offical transcript with the spring semester grades because I didn’t feel like waiting for them to mail me the instructions…

@hopeformarshall thanks and yeah I’m trying for that A but I read that in the past years that people got denied when they got an sgr and they sent in 4.0 so I’m thinking that the 3 A’s and 1 B might be better lol jk but I think all A’s would look good

Can someone please give me an opinion on this…my school does not do + or - so there’s only A, B, C etc so say if I get a 88 or 89 and my teacher won’t bump me up, this will show that it’s just a B on my transcript. Should I let USC know and if so…how would I let them know? I’m gonna ask my prof to bump me up if she can…Thanks!!

@iloveasianguys an 89 will show as a B and a 90 will show as an A on your transcript. There’s definitely perks of both grading systems. An A- will simply show as an A (4.0), which is awesome when there is no +/- system but an A- using the +/- system will show as a 3.7 I believe. My school doesn’t use +/- but i have soo many A- which helps a lot. I doubt telling USC this will do anything. They know that some schools don’t use +/- I wouldn’t worry about it, there’s nothing you can really do

Are people having their USConnect update the morning of the day they typically receive their package? Should I be crazy refreshing USConnect or starting intently at the mail slot?

@odinhelpme I have started not checking USConnect until the end of the day, around 5. There have been several people who have checked in the morning and had nothing, and then checked later on and had something. Id rather check once a day and save my time and sanity. I think people have gotten the electronic and physical acceptances in the same day, some on different days, there really isn’t any consistency.
