@scahopeful Hopefully there will be a way for me to look at what units transferred and whatnot, because at this point, I do not see any hint of this. Also, how does my GPA transfer over? Or would I start over?

Hi guys, so I have a question. I currently have 42 units completed, but 7 of those are from CSU only courses, so I assume USC would not accept them all. I’m enrolled in 21 units this semester so even if they accepted all my credits, I would still be considered a sophomore with 63 units right?

I’m just wondering because I applied as Undecided as my first choice and Viterbi (Computer Sciences/Games) as my second choice (since I wasn’t sure if I could actually declare a major or not).

Speaking of, would USC first consider me for Undecided and then Computer/Science Games or would they look at both at the same time? I haven’t seen anything on Oasis change since 4/19, so I’m not the most confident at this point, but I’d just like to know if anyone has any info that might help. Thanks

I would like to bring back a question @greengecko asked on pg. 234:

Has anyone ever been rejected after finding their Oasis Stars report filled out?

@estara89 They don’t send them to all applicants, just some. You will hear back by the 3rd as long as you didn’t get an SGR.

@estara89 Definitely not all transfers. They send them out to students who they are interested in but cannot give them an acceptance package for some reason (missing pre-reqs, assuring ability to succeed in college courses, etc.).

And yes, all decisions will be put given by June 3rd.

@GreenGecko @Stark42 As of yet, no one (on CC) who has reported having their Stars Interactive Audit Report filled out has been rejected. Also, your GPA does not transfer but does factor in for consideration of honors when you graduate. I think I posted a link that addressed this a few pages back but I’ll repost it. Here ya go:

http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/transfer/admittedfall/transfercredit.html

Scroll down to “Determining Your Transfer GPA” and that should help

@scahopeful. Thanks for the answer - that makes sense.

When people on CC say, “my Star Interactive Audit Reports on Oasis is filled out,” what does that mean? Does that mean the name, major, degree, Catalogue Year, yellow pie chart, etc. is there? Or does it mean that the pie chart is partly red due to the transferred courses? The pie chart I have now is fully yellow, with zero units or classes transferred and I’m a little scared that that indicates that my Star report is NOT “filled out.” Am I correct or am I just freaking out?

@scahopeful Thank you as well. I went through my transcript multiple times to figure out my “transfer gpa” with USC and it is actually reported accurately on Oasis (which I found out after I could edit my stats post.)

@greengecko The red is transferred/completed courses, the yellow is unfulfilled courses. If your school does not have an articulation agreement with USC, it is likely the pie chart will be entirely yellow because you have to petition for transfer credit for the courses you took.

@GreenGecko To have it filled out means you have anything besides the error message

HOW DO YOU ACCESS OASIS??

I have an sgr for marshall and got a 4.0 this semester with As in my three classes. Do I have a shot?

@missari does this oasis thing work even if you didn’t apply for financial aid?

Sorry to interject, does anyone know how late applicants are treated? DS’s app wasn’t complete until sometime in mid-March or early April (difficulties with transcript). We’re wondering if his app will even get full consideration.
We’re aware that those who applied on time will receive something by June 1st but what about late applicants?

Probably gonna sound really stupid for asking this but how do I get on oasis?

@plaurance94 for the password I entered my birthdate (MM/DD/YY) and it worked

@rjl757 what the link?

https://camel2.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx
Is this it? Because I entered my ID number and my bday as the passcode but it said invalid…

^^ I would email register@usc.edu requesting a PIN reset.

http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/oasis/help

Every time you guys log into Oasis, do you guys get this message:

"Grades for Fall 2013 classes will be available at noon on Friday, December 27, 2013.

Please remember that the university’s official method of communication with students is through the USC email account. Please verify that you have not exceeded your USC email storage quota."

I remember the “Grades for Fall 2013 blah blah blah” being there, but I don’t remember it referring to my USC email account. Am I hallucinating or did that change?

ya I have that same message too every time I log in. I’m pretty sure the USC email thing was always there.

Have you guys had the date in the stars audit report ever change from when you first logged into the account? Mine has never changed.
