My course cart was just emptied today and my stars audit report hasn’t been updated since I first logged onto oasis. Any sign?

Has anyone not heard back? No SGR? No acceptance? No rejection?

@Sanderella24 I have not heard anything. No SGR, no rejection, no acceptance. My stars audit hasn’t been touched since 5/2/14. I’m an Annenberg hopeful with 65 units.

Hey y’all, do SGR’d people only get admitted in the fall, or is it a mix of spring and fall? It seems like we’ve had a few spring admits as of today… I just can’t figure out why someone would get straight admitted in the spring versus a SGR with a chance of fall admission. Will we ever understand the ways of the man behind the curtain??

@LAHarbor24 Me too. I have 64 units under my belt after this spring. I’m getting really worried though because I’m taking two prerequisites in spring, Business Cal & English 103… and still no SGR. I’m beginning to think really negative thoughts ;-(

@dmdwelle both

@dmdwelle I don’t think anyone but USC admissions knows the order of merit between a fall admit, spring admit, and a SGRed applicant. I’ve read SGRed applicants get accepted for both terms. I’ve also read somewhere that SGRed applicants earlier in May are more likely to get accepted for fall and those later in May for Spring. Who knows the reasoning! I also have read that around 1000 applicants are offered Spring admission, which doesn’t reflect in the fall admission statistics. Maybe USC would like to offer admission to students who have a “poorer” academic history but don’t want their GPAs to lower their stats? I know that sounds devious but it might be the reality. Good luck brother!

@HopeForMarshall I think you have a good point about admission stats and spring admits. Who here has been admitted to spring so far and what are your stats?

@Sanderella24 email me? We can discuss more.

Can you guys help me out here? So is the conclusion that if you haven’t heard anything yet, realistically looking at getting a rejection letter soon?

@redick4 I don’t think that is a logical conclusion. There are people who have seen their Stars report filled out just today (I think we all agree this is a sure sign of acceptance). Those people did not hear a peep up until now. So no, just because you haven’t heard anything yet doesn’t mean that you’ve been rejected. We just… don’t know. I don’t want to give you false hope, I just don’t want you to lose hope. I’m sorry that I can’t give you a more definitive answer, but there it is.

@dmdwelle I’m defiantly not going to lose hope just getting a little nervous! But i appreciate the help hopefully I will hear something next week!

Just curious, where do you go and check your stats? USCConnect?

@redick4 i sincerely hope that you do hear something good! I hope we all do.

And I also want to say thank you to everyone here! You guys have kept me same over the past month and I really appreciate all of your insight. Let’s keep those gold packages rolling in! Fight on!

I just tried log in OASIS, but I can’t still log in. Am I getting a rejected ?
Did anyone who couldn’t log in to Oasis, already get accepted? When I try loging on, it says the password doesn’t match (mmddyy). I’m worried that it might mean I’m not accepted,

Does anybody know about the appeals process for transfers (if any)?
I’m a college freshman applying to Viterbi for Astronautical Engineering. I got a 4.0 my first semester in college, but my high school GPA is something like a 3.3…(total unweighted anyway, on a year by year basis it increased from 2.8 to 3.4) the thing is, it looks like I’ll be getting a 4.0 or 3.9 this semester too (with 30 units total) but my final grades don’t come out until after June 3rd. And I’m afraid that the review board will just throw me a rejection without seeing my performance this semester.

i cant log into OASIS
usc id and password(mmddyyyy). didnt work!
how do you guys log in?
@steakrogue thats what concerns me too i have completed 16 units(smstr) and 20 more are in progress! took heavy courses this semester. lest hope for the best!

@arashbh That’s how you log in. Not everyone has access though, don’t worry about it.

if you want to live in university housing next year and participate in greek life
what do you guys think is the best housing option
