Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

Anyway, i think somebody on here asked if they were the only ones that got a restrictions change but no star audit report change. Well…thats basically me…my restrictions changed may 7th, but my stars report never updated. I’m really starting to think thats the sign of being rejected…but whatever it is what it is i guess. Just wish USC would tell me i was rejected if that is the actual case…pain in the a ss waiting till june to know this.

@Surhov818 Exactly dude. you nailed it spot on. There are other universities i will consider if usc doesn’t accept me…hell if they do accept me but i get into ucla or Berkeley since i strongly appealed them…i may not even choose usc. So yes it totally isn’t the end of the world haha. But i do indeed find it weird how you get accepted into a school…yet you’re still asking random applicants that only know a limited amount of information, about your specific admission. Sometimes i wonder man…

@kyle2015 The point is there are certain people being targeted. People who:

A) Haven’t said one way or another if they were accepted and certain people just assumed they were (aka me–why?)
B) Have only been helping others

@surhov818 Mention me directly when you want to address me. Anyway, what are you talking about? I never said that it means nothing. Please reference one post in which I said that having the restrictions updated with no STARS IAR means nothing. You can’t because I literally said that the STARS IAR could update within a few days of a restrictions update but if it doesn’t then we don’t know what that means (because we don’t). The only thing I said means nothing is the random course cart changes.

This is a thread for transfer students to gain information prior to acceptance and to discuss other various details of the admissions process. You’re derailing the thread. Maybe you should use your own logic and leave the thread. Since you’re so sure you’ve been rejected, why are you still here?

@sca I’ve been directly speaking to you many times buddy. I’ve asked you many questions but you choose to ignore them. So what I will do now is ignore you. My rejection is still not clear because I applied to two majors. That’s why I’m still here buddy. If you’ve been accepted just call housing or whatever department at USC I’m sure they can help you. There’s no need to ■■■■■ and fill this thread up with random things. Keep it about acceptance and rejections. Thanks

All this talk about Oasis and I cant even get on :(

@2Dimes2Pennies‌ On USC Connect under the tab “Contact Us” there’s a phone number
I just called that and followed the steps

@kyle2015 @Surhov818‌ I see no problem with @scahopeful‌ being on this thread
I really don’t see what the big deal is, or why there should be any debate about this.

People will call admissions if they have any serious, urgent questions.
And for minor questions that aren’t on FAQ, it’s a lot easier and friendlier to look on a forum than wait on hold for a random amount of time.
People want to know about the processes those who’ve been accepted are going through.
Also, for those who do get in, it’s nice to know other transfer students

@transferr2014 Sorry, OASIS seems to be the only thing actually indicating acceptance right now (some people haven’t even received their packages yet)

@Surhov818 You’re the only person going off topic and attacking random people. I have said 50,000 times that I was SGRed. I never said I was accepted. You assumed that because you don’t bother to read anything. No one listens to you because you are always trolling and your ‘observations’ are very irrational and unnecessarily negative. You were the same way in last year’s thread.

@scahopeful @‌Surhov818

Both of you guys calm down. No need to go on and attack each other on an internet thread. That’s just an complete waste of time. We are all worried about admissions decisions over here but no need to blame any one for trolling or what not.

Sorry if this has already been asked/complained about, BUT:
It is less than a week away from the transfer notification deadline, surely USC has rejected some applicants by now. So here’s my question, why does the admissions office wait to the last minute to notify you of your rejection if they made a decisions weeks ago?

@kyle2015 @Surhov818‌

And I disagree with both of you guys regarding the fact that accepted students should not be on the thread. This thread does not necessarily have to be about getting into usc. Think about it, after getting admitted, It can help you meet your future classmates or roommates. I don’t know about you but most of us have really busy lives. Take me for example, I am usually working during usc admissions regular business hours. So I don’t have the time to call them and wait for like 15 minutes to speak to an actual admissions counselor. This is why the thread can be easier than actually talking to an usc admission or housing coordinator…

@almxy45 It wasn’t an attack it was a request for him to stop derailing the thread. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@Jazz49 USC pretty much makes decisions all the time. It’s not like they go through all the applicants in a week, randomly releases acceptances and just saves all rejections for last. They are still going through some applications and for SGR’s they pretty much go through a shortened version of the process again. This means some people will get decisions now, and others at a later time depending on when the adcom gets to the application.

Thanks @HopeForMarshall :slight_smile: And I’m a female for future reference haha

@SCA I think you’ve been on the thread trolling more than I have kid. :))

@surhov818 We can all read what type of responses you made in last year’s thread. Regardless of what others have said to you, you made some pretty rude, disrespectful, arrogant, and borderline racist remarks - way off topic. Some of the things you’re telling others not to do in this thread.

@scahopeful has been pretty helpful to me and many others. It would be nice to let him/her continue to help others.

How long after your STARS is filled out should one receive a PDF or acceptance letter?

@almy, you’ll have plenty of chances to meet students in school trust me. If you want to exchange Facebook accounts go ahead. Don’t announce your friendship to a public forum. It makes it harder for those who have not received anything yet communicate with students in the same situation.

@hopeformarshall, what are you talking about bro. Don’t judge me and do personal attacks on me kid.

Thanks @scahopeful‌ !

@surhov818 no problem, sir. Best of luck, there is still a week left.

@hope, thanks buddy I’ll see you at USC .
