Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@HopeForMarshall‌

It takes 1-3 business day. I say 3 days because, for me my STARS was filled out on a Friday, but i didnt get mine till the following Monday.

So i am assuming Admission do not process or file things during the weekend.

@Karlos did you receive your acceptance through USConnect or the mail first?

@HopeForMarshall‌ Mine was about 2 days. Happy you’re accepted man, I was pulling for you and glad that you’re going to be a Trojan.

Hey everyone!

Since there are more people accepted to USC already, I’d like to share with you guys that there is a post (which I made) in Reddit concerning USC Housing information. Come over and check it out! I hope to be able to meet all of you on CollegeConfidential, since I think that you guys are like-minded with me in terms of the dedication that you put into USC as a student.

So feel free to post your profile (what housing are you applying to, who you would like to live with) and hopefully we can meet each other in the future!

Link: [USC 2014 Fall Transfer Housing](<a href=“Reddit - Dive into anything”>http://www.reddit.com/r/USC/comments/26nw5h/usc_2014_fall_transfer_housing_profiles/</a>)

Anybody else apply to the Philosophy Politics and Law major in the Dornsife college at USC? #FutureLawmakersUnite

Been following this thread for quite a while now. So my question is how are people getting in contact with their counselors and are able to get them to tell you if you were accepted or not? I’ve tried e-mailing my counselor and even called the Admissions office but to no surprise they always give me the same generic answer.

@MPCCBT‌

I got my acceptance in this order

STARS REPORT (May 4) > MAIL (May 6) > USCONNECT PDF (May 7)

@MarshallBound My counselor rarely even responds, so you’re getting farther than I am…

So I called the Marshall department today, and they said that they don’t make any decisions for acceptance of a prospective transfer student; rather, its the admissions office.

@Karlos Thanks for your help!

@Spiffyboi Thanks! You’re going to Marshall as well, correct? I’ll see you there!

@karlos Thanks!

tbh I don’t believe everyone who claims they got in got in…just a thought and I’m sure there has been many rejections sent out; due to embarrassment, and well hurt… ppl don’t want to mention it…theres been some rejections out ppl don’t be fooled… I also believe you have to consider your regional area because I think if you live south of LA on down to SD you get your decisions last LA area/ close to come toward the end…different states and out the country places hear early bc USC wants to make sure they get it on time…just a thought. DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING
I totally agree about “accepted” ppl moving there housing ideas on to another thread; in fact I would be emailing USC about those matters…makes no sense to be hear if your in

cant log into OASIS never could… nothing on connect… called admissions; the lady seemed keen of me chatted me up a bit saying she could see my major and her major was the same as mine when she was at USC and she loved it… Im staying ++positive++…and sending good vibes your way :slight_smile:

Anyone hear anything from the fine arts department?

I know this is bad of me to admit but I’ve wondered the same thing @bobisweird how many people who say they get in and if rejections have come out but nobody says anything ;-( You just never know with the internet

if I got my acceptance already I would not be on this stressful thread… thats just me… I be thankful share the dets, and move on…I don’t get ppl… cc attracts many many prestige hounds obsessed over a brand(USC) probably not as obsessed with there majors hahaha

This is a USC transfer thread… Not a USC “only post if you haven’t been given a decision” thread. Talking about things related to USC for transfers, such as housing, SGR’s, etc (regardless of what admission decision we get), is the very purpose of this thread. It’s lost on me how this is an issue for those who have mentioned it.

I’m seeing all this “if you’re accepted why are you still on this thread” - well it’s simple; it’s the transfer thread. WE ARE TRANSFERRING TO USC - so don’t be quick to kick us out, we belong here just as much as everyone else.

I wrote something earlier on a rant, hence the edit indicator, and you know what - its not worth it.

Let’s just keep our negative comments to ourselves people.

hey guys! I got a SGR a couple weeks ago and my semester ended last week. If I already preordered my transcripts to be sent the day they’re released (May 31st) do you think USC will make a decision before the end of June? Thanks :)

Is there any way to find out if the SGR was for my first or second choice major?
