@chilambar I think they determine it after you send your Spring grades in and commit to enroll. It might take a while after that though.

Gotems. Fall 2014 Viterbi Acceptance. Restrictions were updated 5/28, IAR filled in 5/29, mail came into 5/30. USConnect hasn’t been filled out yet. Gluck yall :D

@scahopeful Yup CCer, might just take some classes in fall if I don’t fill all the GE’s for USC

Accepted! Dornsife, political science.
I was SGRed on May 10th and have yet to send in my spring grades, but for some reason they still sent me the big yellow package! Good luck y’all!

Brace yourselves
Rejection PDFs are coming.

Well, for me anyway. Good luck to everyone else!

Rejected! I knew this was coming. Good luck everyone and congratulations to others! I am off to UCLA.

ayyyy I was rejected just today (USConnect dated 29th) so maybe next year again or not. lol bye transfer thread :-h

Guess my theory was correct :((. So where and how do we appeal?

@MarshallBound Did you get a second page on your PDF saying it’s pretty much not worth it to even reapply next year as it will “rarely result in a different decision”? Or was my application just that bad? lol

@Anticipation2014 Yup. I mean at least I got a decision. Now I’m going to start working on my appeal and hopefully I can turn in my spring grades (4.0). I feel that they should of just rejected me after they made the decision, which I believe was the 14th, instead of making me wait this long. Anyways, going to work on that appeal letter. If the appeal doesn’t work I’m content with where I’m going (not the long drive though).

Remember to post your decisions on the [Transfer Decision Thread](USC Transfer Decisions 2014 - #76 by scahopeful - Transfer Students - College Confidential Forums)

My OASIS hasn’t been updated since 1/31; turned in SGR. I think I’m bound to get rejected. Sophomore transfer here.

rejected to Viterbi from Carnegie Mellon University. I guess it wasn’t a surprise since I had a 3.13 GPA as a first year architecture major but I had still had small hopes since I had been accepted to USC with presidential scholarship coming out of high school (2170 SAT, 34 ACT, 4.35 HS GPA) and since Carnegie mellon is very rigorous in academics. I guess it’s my bad for picking cmu over usc last year I should have known. congrats to those who got in, and fight on!

@MarshallBound Yup! They definitely make the decisions when they update your restrictions. Such bs that they make you wait weeks before they tell you that news lol. At least they had the courtesy to not make us wait until the 3rd. 8-|

Well, good luck with your appeal! I’m so relieved I no longer have to check that website 9304729374 times a day.

@Anticipation2014 LOL. Are you going to do an appeal? Do you know how the process works?

@MarshallBound I thought about it once I realized I was due for a rejection. This is what i found:

There is no formal appeal process for transfer applicants. Transfer applicants can appeal their decision by emailing their admission counselor with new and compelling information. If a student has previously applied to USC, the past application materials are still on file, however we will review your application as a new application to USC as there is new information and new coursework to evaluate.

But F that ish. I’m going to NYU. Not to say I didn’t want to go to USC, but I’d rather go to a school that wanted me outright. Maybe I’ll try USC for grad school.

@Anticipation2014 Thanks!! I feel the exact same way as you do. Congrats on your acceptance to NYU!!

@marshallbound Thanks! Good luck to you and I’m sure you’ll do well where ever you end up!!

rejected as well I think I want to appeal too.
Thanks @Anticipation2014 for that helpful paragraph on appeals. I have some things I feel I didn’t get a chance to explain well enough after looking back at it again. I even intern in a lab at USC right now and I still got rejected!! LOL
Do you guys think an appeal is worth it?

Would any other Spring 2015 admits like to maybe chat on our own thread? I know there is one for the Fall admits so I figured maybe we could have one for ourselves if anyone else was interested.

@ilovestemcells Hey you never know till you try. The question you should ask yourself, is whether or not it’s worth it putting X amount of time into a letter that might or might not get you accepted. If you feel you have nothing to lose, then why not go for it. Hell, I’m working on mines right now as we speak. I’m not going to lie, I got quite teary for a minute when I saw that rejection, but I said why not give the appeal a shot and if it doesn’t work I still have another college that wants me.
