Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

I’m not saying it’s not sporadic as a whole, I’m just saying that on a very general level it seems that transfers and freshmen don’t seem to be under review concurrently. I was just evidencing it with some past results on here (granted CCers do represent only a small fraction of the transfer application population)

Honestly it makes sense that transfers wouldn’t be under review until around April if you think about the fact that the freshman deadline for all schools/majors is in December vs. only a few majors have transfer deadlines in December.

Anyway, how is everyone holding up so far?

I’m not liking this wait at all…I really wanna go to USC but I have to commit to another college due to fear of being rejected. The more I think about it everyday the more USC seems like it won’t be possible.

When do we find out how much financial aid will be awarded?

@RoysGoin2College you’re notified of your financial aid award two weeks after you receive your acceptance package.

For the Financial Aid process, did you guys just submit FAFSA and that was it? Was it necessary to fill out anything else? Because I only submitted FAFSA so far (for financial aid purposes)

@Spiffyb0i

Well I’m sorry to say this but you dun goofed because you also need to submit the CSS profile on collegeboard.

@Spiffyb0i go to usconnect.usc.edu and login to check what documents are needed (if any) from USC. But yes, like was mentioned, you need to submit the CSS profile as well.

@Spiffyb0i There are also other USC financial documents you need to fill out that are on usc connect

@tojfan131 ugh I thought so. Will fill out tomorrow when the parents are available. Thanks for that. Do you think that not filling out these forms right away will diminish my chances of getting accepted?

@Spiffyb0i No, but it will delay your financial aid substantially; the financial aid office has nothing to do with the admissions office.

I got my financial aid package today from another private school with similar costs to USC… I’m a bit frightened.

@hepburn95 oh crap I just noticed the CCS was due on March 3rd…damn. Oh well I’ll just submit everything and see how it goes. Thanks.

@Spiffyb0i Good luck! The paperwork on USConnect doesn’t take very long.

Same here @RoysGoin2College

I’ve tried a million different ways to convince myself that a rejection is imminent just so I don’t get my hopes up.

This is a silly question, but do you think that sending too many questions to the USC Office of Admissions makes me look bad? I probably sent like 10 from the time of september to now…

I feel like they recognize my name and think I’m annoying or something. IDK I’m just paranoid…

@randombookie
I don’t think so, I mean they don’t even recognize it

@randombooke Lol stop trying to do this to yourself. If anything it shows your definitely interested, and I’ll tell you that ten emails from September to now isn’t obsessive at all. Don’t think about it as a way to try and convince yourself that you won’t get in, because it absolutely will not have that effect.

Only about two months to go, hopefully less!

LOLzz Welcome to new 2014 threadss… :)

@Trojfan131 Thank you for saying that, it honestly does make me feel a little better. USC is my first choice, so hopefully I get in and hoepfully you do too! :)

@randombookie LOL

Ten emails? Since September? I’ve seen people send 10 emails in three days. I highly doubt they recognize your name. Plus USC has said that they do not record what is known as “demonstrated interest”. Therefore they don’t factor it into the admission decision.

@scahopeful lol thanks for the assurance

When are we supposed to send in the midterm report?
