@GeorgeBailey - I’m under the impression that even if you can log into Oasis, you still may not be accepted.

So please don’t worry @ipodtouch99 if you can’t log in.

I’m so confused. How do you get a USC ID?

@Ianbernas - If you log onto to uscconnect, and click on either Admissions or Financial Aid, click on the status check box, and when that opens, you should be able to see your USC ID at the top right of the screen.

Moreover, I think USC would have emailed your ID in an email after submitting the common app.

will usc still review my app if i submitted some materials late? i submitted common app on time tho

@esai23 haha alright well I’m slightly embarrassed now but thank you so much for the info :)

I am able to login to Oasis, does that mean I got in??
Or does it at least mean there is definitely some hope?

Or does it mean nothing…

@greengecko It doesn’t mean anything.

Do sophomores transfers have a harder time getting into USC if they don’t meet that many of USC requirements? I only meet the Western Traditions, Foreign Language and Diversity requirements. I also satisfy the old math requirement but I no longer see it on the Gen Ed’s page.

You guys i am speaking as someone who applied last year n was rejected. Thats why my username says 13 n not 14. Its kind of funny because this thread is going through the same routine as lasts years thread. Logging onto oasis does not mean anything. I was able to log on last year and i got rejected. The only reason i check this thread is to see when some people start recieving acceptances which u know you have been accepted when you get a “enrollment deposit” box on usconnect or a letter in the mail. Until then relax a little your only stressing yourself out

Im just trying to save you guys the freak out fest last years tranfer applicants had.

Thanks! @JR2013. If I’ve received a SGR, is that a good or bad sign? Did you ever receive one last year? And do you have any idea whether receiving an SGR earlier or later is better?

Edit: Thanks for all the information!

@wdemasters02 I would like to know this too. There are merits to a sophomore transfer, such as being more likely to graduate on time, more freedom and flexibility coursework/electives choices etc. I know some universities like Cornell heavily prioritize sophomore transfers (but at the same time place 50% emphasis on high school stats). On the other hand, since USC appears to take after the UC system, where transfers are more of an obligation to meet a certain ratio of upper division:lower division, maybe they might be more focused on letting in rising juniors.

@JR2013 Could you give us a rough timeline for when the SGRs/Acceptances come out? Mid-May, right? The pattern I saw was people received SGRs earlier than those who received acceptances. And there appeared to be twice as more SGRs than acceptances.

@Lasting Probability wise, it’s more of a good sign than a bad one. I think you’re at least probable (>60%) to get in if you maintain your GPA.

Does anyone know when was the 1st day they sent out decisions last year? Late April?

No problem. Sgr isnt bad but its not great because you have to wait longer than people who are accepted without one and you still could not be accepted. But id say they are a good sign that you were not strait rejected. Umm we saw a lot of sgr late april n early may. Maybe like two flat out acceptances early may and they really started rolling out like around may 20th. Most likely we will hear about a lot of sgr’s before acceptances. Thats how it went last year. And i was rejected may 28.

But you have to remember not everyone who applied talks on this thread obviously

@JR2013 Thanks! One more month to go!
I assume lots of people on this forum also applied to UCs?

Is getting Spring Grade Requests a good sign of an acceptance?
NVM found the answer.

Did anyone else go the book festival at USC today? I went and got to wander around the campus for the first time. It was really pretty!

Anyone here applying to USC VIterbi?

So close yet so far
