I was also admitted today to Film Production, and I was wondering what is your stance on a B.A. degree being offered versus a B.FA. degree?

And the way I see it, Iām not going to film school for the degree, Iām going for the experience. Iāve heard time and time again that a degree from film school wonāt get you work, but the work that you make will get you work hahaā¦ so quite honestly I could be getting an associates degree but if I know I am going to an amazing film school where I will learn a lot, well thatās just fine by me. But thatās just my personal opinion.
Reading through last yearās thread it looks like those that submitted their Spring grades in May got a decision within 2 weeks. I kind of want my application decision but not really now im just scared @-)
@smileyface31 im in the same boat as you. Sent in my grades last tuesday and itās still showing the submit grades link. Iāll have to call them tomorrowā¦
Alright so itās come down to the last 10 daysā¦ our decisions must be final and in the mail now, good luck to those who havenāt received them yet

Since a lot of dornsife applicants havent heard back yet (myself included) i guess i want to say thatās a good sign(?)
@Msmclagirl I got an SGR, and Iām a Dornsife applicant, but yeah I donāt think many other people heard back yet.
And looking at last years decision thread, people heard back this week mostly

has anyone been notified through their youSC portal? Or are we supposed to be expecting something by mail?
@CollegeARTist I think it is by mail. Majority of the acceptances are going out by mail this year
FYI SGR applicants:
So I just called the office and the lady told me: Most SGR students will get decision by the end of June.
I called the office and she looked at my application and she told me that I should hear between now and June 1st and I am SGR applicant

Called admissions today and was told that the submit transcript option will show even if I already submitted my unofficial transcript because the transcript is unofficial. So it will be on there until the official transcript is submitted. I was also told that decisions will be made closer to the end of June but I donāt believe that because I submitted my transcript on the second week of May. I did a little bit of research in last yearās thread and found that people who submitted their spring grades early posted their decisions 2 weeks later. No one who send their grades in early May heard back after mid June. I think the āby the end of Juneā answer is their canned answer to not have them commit to anything should there be any delays.

I got a SGR 5/13 and I submitted my unofficial transcript online later that week. I had to call admissions few days after submitting it because it was still showing that I didnāt submit it and it was only because they didnāt verify it yet but they did receive it. so make sure to call and have them verify it when youāre on the phone with them so they can finalize your decision quicker!
