I’m really worried I received a Spring Grade Request but I might end up with a 3.43 (Two B’s one A) due to being in two accidents this semester. Are they going to just flat out reject me if I don’t get a 4.0??
@Provence97 Junior transfer I think (I’m about to complete my Sophomore year).
Hi guys! This morning I received an email from the website where you can view your cal grants, and it said that they approved cal grant A and B but they are on hold because I have to check a box that says I transferred to a 4 year institution. Do you think it’s a coincidence that I received that now? Or is it a good sign? The fact that it’s asking me if I actually transferred makes me think it’s just a coincidence, but I am still wondering if there is any type of connection…
@mlusikyan Did Viterbi send you a physical letter requesting your spring grades or did you see Viterbi request your spring grades online?
@vince5260 Thank you for the info!!! AND CONGRATS on getting into Viterbi!!
anyone finding it really difficult to concentrate on anything, I can’t stop thinking about USC :((
@YoGabbaGabby96 Yup, I’ve had 2 dreams now about getting accepted into USC, lol…
From the sound of things, a lot of southern California students received their decisions already, so it looks like we’re just waiting on USPS to deliver us the mail now!!
@vince5260 oh ok thanks, and congratulations!!!
@HappyLifeMachine DUDE I had a ton of dreams the other night about getting accepted too and I wake up and the cycle starts again
Yeah, I think most decisions are pretty much done, they just need to get to us haha
I also got an email for the calgrant for USC. I hope that is a good sign. @1hellohello1
Let’s hope for the best @wtb2525
I have a friend who got his acceptance on May 29 in 2013… I am hoping they won’t send SGRs so late anymore even if it’s possible… Plus my school finishes on June 12 so I would be able to send my grades in so late… Ugh this wait is killing me
m
No problem @HappyLifeMachine ! And thank you!
Thanks @provence97 !
Good luck to you both and anyone else applying to USC!
I’m getting so nervous!
@1hellohello1 No, I don’t think so. My friend has an SGR and got that email. He hasn’t sent in his grades yet.
hi everyone! i am not a transfer applicant this year, but am planning on being one next year (senior in high school, going to be a freshman in college this fall). I was just curious if any of you were a part of the trojan transfer plan and how that works? in addition, i will be attending a four year university next year, so for those of you who currently enrolled in a university as of right now, is it difficult to maintain a 3.6-3.7 GPA? One last question… how does the application via common app look like for transfers (essay prompts specifically)
oh and i don’t want to spam on this board, considering that you’re all anxiously awaiting your decision, so if someone could pm me i would greatly appreciate it!
Hey, so I know some of you said OASIS doesn’t really mean anything, but my STARS report just updated and is filled out with all my transfer classes. I’m taking this as at least a good sign. Will update if I get a more concrete response from USC.
@mnada99 I don’t think anyone is entirely sure how much TTP means, but I will say that the view I always took is that it can’t hurt but still strive to be better than the average. I was told that for TTP I needed 3.6 GPA and I knew the average acceptance GPA was 3.7 so I wanted to get a 3.8. Ultimately how difficult a certain GPA is is up to you individually. Some majors may be more difficult, some schools may be more difficult. For me I have a 3.97 currently, so I feel that I’m not the best to give advice. However, I will say that if you are a Viterbi applicant talk to them before signing up for classes and basically let them schedule your classes for you. 4 years in general are more difficult to get course equivalency to SC. On the common app I don’t remember the question being too different, the Viterbi supplement was the exact same.
I am SCA student. I did not get hear anything back. I am freaking out and giving up at this point
Hey guys, I’ve got a quick question. I got a SGR at the beginning of May and my spring grades were mailed out last Thursday, May 14th. However, my portal still shows that USC has not received my official transcript and I recently received an email from USC reminding me to send my spring grades. Do you think I should try to send my spring grades again? I also never got anything in the mail from USC about sending spring grades and I sent my transcript to the following address:
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
USC OFFICE OF ADMISSION, UNDERGRADUATE
UNIVERSITY PARK CAMPUS
LOS ANGELES, CA 90089
If any of you know that this address is incorrect, could you please tell me the correct address? Thanks!
