@zettasyntax Is it unlikely that we can get an acceptance tomorrow because of the restriction date situation?
@plzuscplz All that I’m saying is based on last year. The restrictions thing has happened several times this year as well though. Those that were ultimately accepted did have to wait just a few days after the stars report filling out and their restrictions date changing. I don’t think it’s been quite the case for someone to have it fill out and then be accepted the same day. So overall, I’d have to say yes. If the restrictions/stars haven’t changed yet, it would be unlikely to get an acceptance tomorrow. I’d love for the trend to be proven wrong though because I know I’m losing my patience
@zettasyntax I think the counselors do change it themselves because mine emailed me shortly after my restriction date was changed that she got my spring grades
@sunita18 I actually believe the one from Kirk Brennan is the official one.
wait i also got a sgr from him as well with
Just to update everyone, I’m a Dornsife applicant who got SGR’ed on Sunday May 3rd, and when I checked oasis, my restrictions were changed to May 26, and my transfer credit report was filled out.
Idk if this is because my advisor received my spring transcript recently (I emailed him an unofficial copy last week) or if I will be accepted soon. I’m hoping for the latter. Does anyone know if this is a guaranteed acceptance or should I not get too excited?
@smileyface31 Yes, this is definitely an early sign of acceptance. Restrictions change + filled out stars report = guaranteed in.
You should be expecting the letter soon

wait I’m really concerned now … I got SGR on April 28. My counselor updated my portal this morning and my restriction was update this morning afterward saying she received my spring grades. My grades were excellent… Is there a chance my star report could be updated tomorrow and everything will be fine? Now I’m concerned @zettasyntax
@usc4mepls Don’t worry. The stars report has never updated the same exact day from what I recall. It usually happens the next day in the early morning hours (1am-4am or so). Or even two days afterwards. If it’s any longer, I’m not sure what it would mean. If your restrictions just updated today though, don’t be concerned yet

@zettasyntax phewwww I’m really hopeful. I don’t know why but I still have hopes for getting in. I’m a dornsife applicant as well. I think we will be starting to hear back soon!
If my restriction on oasis changed to 5/21 is this a good or bad sign? Thanks
Could the recent change be a sign of acceptance ? My restriction date changed to 5/21. I know it’s rejection, but it’s ok.
@treetreetree What are your stats?
@cs2015 Did you receive an acceptance email as well?? I won’t be back at my listed mailing address until end of June
If we still haven’t gotten an SGR, does that mean we got rejected? /:
Thanks @zettasyntax I completely forgot I had to change my password and finally got access. Does anyone elses STARS interactive audit report read that it was prepared on 05/01/15? Mine says “error”, but it just said it was prepared. Definitely looking towards a rejection.
Yes what I am saying is that the email statin Missing Documents with a request for Spring grades is different from the official SGR that my friend got.
The stars report initially has the date you looked at it
So maybe that’s when you looked at it? Have your restrictions changed lately? I don’t know what signals rejection this year as I haven’t seen many posts about it.
Yes the Kirk Brennan email is not the official SGR. I got an email from Brennan asking for my Spring Grades on May second. My friend received a very formal email that was clearly different from mine that specifically said that they were heavily considered and would need additional information.
