For rejections, do they mail out a letter also or will it be on you.usc?
@sunita18 I went looking for the SGR letter on my fridge because of the whole “strongly considered” bit xD
@sunita18 @YoGabbaGabby96 My bad just reread my friends PDF with the emblem on it. It did not say strongly considered. it talks about ways to send the grades and that you needed to do it by a certain date for acceptance or something. I got mixed up because I received a bunch of stuff from other schools. What I am saying is that I only received a missing Spring grades email from Mr. Brennan not the mail or PDF of the official one which is the actual SGR as far as I am concerned. Anyways, sorry for all of the mixup!
My mom is out of town sooooo I don’t even know where mine is so I YOLOd and sent my grades in tonight with a PDF I will call tomorrow and ask if that’s okay hahaha watch me get rejected for being a dumbass
@sunita18 I was out of town when I sent mine. I went on my portal on youSC and uploaded an unofficial one and that works just as well! It will speed up the process too
HI GUYS, is it safe to assume that if we havent gotten anything so far means rejection? I am not sure what to think anymore, 3.8 gpa above 60 units,GE and other requirements satisfied, finished high school in Italy= i feel like it should be enough, but on the other hand, it is May 28th. 8-X
@urirahimi what does the email from kirk say if you dont mind me asking?
@urirahimi I’m sure you’ll be fine just keep checking your portal. Mine was really weird my paragraph like above the message changed on April 30 saying we requested your spring grades and there was no message and then on May 1 the official SGR message popped up!!! Have hope you’ll get in, what’s your major?
How many of you guys are waiting to refresh once 12am pst happens.
@zettasyntax you applied last year and got an SGR and then got rejected? even when you got a 4.0 during that spring? why do you think that happened?
@jucery13 lol that would be me. Although I’m sure there won’t be any updates it’s still exciting to check at midnight.
@poisonx your counselor said you’d here back by June 1st right? Your wait isn’t to long! Hope you get in buddy!
@jucery13 thanks! you too. hopefully its good news
I heard that receiving a decision so close to the deadline is most likely a spring admit or rejection. This is my second time applying:( I hate to be negative, but I am hoping I’m not part of a mass rejection.
@sugarhiccup how will they send us our rejections? will it be through email, you.usc, or letter? Also, i think there will be a mass rejection because only 20% of students get into USC.
28%* and I think it’s just whatever decisions they can get out as quickly as possible
@webo21 Last year, a few days after my oasis restrictions updated, there was a viewable rejection PDF in my USConnect. A week later I received the official rejection letter in a plain standard sized white envelope.
I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but applying again for the third time just seems like too much. I will appeal for sure if I get rejected.
@sugarhiccup yeah applying for a third time is super discouraging for me too I really hope I don’t have to
couldn’t it work both ways too that after the restrictions is updated a few days later star could be updated and you could be accepted?
@usc4mepls From my experience, if stars doesn’t update 24 hours after restrictions does, it’s most likely a rejection…
@sugarhiccup like 24 hours exactly or up to 24 hours
