Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

@collegebeans the satisfactory thing has been filled out the whole time. I turned in like 5 financial aid forms forms back in march so I was surprised to have extra stuff for FA today. Maybe it’s because my parents own their own business.

No… I was just accepted through the mail yesterday… but nothing at all has updated for me… accept something that says 3-5 days blah blah blah under financial aid. Actually, that updated two days before my acceptance and I think its a good indicator.

@Mustang012 @piano1900 I was admitted the 28th and received my financial aid report on June 2nd

Hey guys! So I’m actually really nervous lol, I submitted my spring grades yesterday and my restrictions updated today in the morning. I checked my oasis audit star report; however, it hasn’t updated yet? Considering the fact that my restrictions has changed, does that mean they already made a decision just off of one day from sending my spring grades?

@Mick96 I can’t even access my oasis still! Ahhhhh
@Mustang012 @piano1900 I haven’t received mine yet either (They accepted me on May 30), although that’s probably also because I had some extra documents to turn in.

Does anyone know the acceptance rate of people who transfer from Dornsife to Annenberg?

or to Price?

@angelakav They are! I called the financial aid office and was told that they were 3/4 of the way of completing it and should expect to receive it within a few days. It’s been a few days and still nothing. I’m just impatient since I need to know how much aid I’ll receive in order to decide if I should withdraw from my other school (I already committed to it) or not.

@transfergirl0006 did you receive an email or did your portal just update?

@squishyboba that could explain why they’re taking a littler longer for yours but I submitted all my documents about two months ago.

@lordfx do you really think the 3-5 day thing under financial aid is a indication?

@Shortstop3 did you get an email from financial aid earlier?

@collegebeans yes I got one in the morning! Did you?

Hi,

Admitted to USC May 27 as an economics/mathematics. I hope anyone of you guys could answer these questions. If I took three years of Spanish in High School do I need to still take the placement test or take a foreign language? Also, how do I know if I am a Junior or Sophomore transfer? I have completed about 80 transferable courses at my community college. I hope one of you guys has the answer, I emailed my advisor today. But, just want to know a answer now.

Thank you!

@Shortstop3 Same! This is so nerve racking

@Mustang012 both. I happened to look at my email before the portal but the email gives you instructions on how to find your financial aid summary.

Just to confirm, financial aid award email updates are only given to ADMITTED students, correct?

@transfergirl0006 hopefully I receive mine tonight or tomorrow morning. If not, I’ll call them to ask about it and for an extension. Have you committed already? What’s your major?

@Mustang012 yes hopefully you will! They were pretty generous with the University grants, too! Yes I committed! I’m a sociology major. What about you?! (:

@transfergirl0006 Let’s hope they’re as generous with me as they were with you. That’s good, so I assume USC was your top choice then? That’s cool (: I’m an electrical engineering major, though I want to double major, either with computer science or business administration.

@ayemad you’re unable to use highschool foreign language to satisfy it sadly. what’s going to happen is that you’ll have to take a test and they’ll see where to put you. here’s the link http://language.usc.edu/languages/flr.html

edit: but you maybe exempted based off of major

-Architecture
-Business/Accounting
-Dentistry
-All engineering (except for Computer Science)
-Any B.F.A. (Fine Arts)
-Music Industry
-Public Policy

Yes fingers crossed for you! Yeah it was my only choice lol I literally didn’t apply anywhere else. I would have been screwed if I didn’t get in! Oh nice. Double major…intense!
