Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

@collegebeans got in for spring :frowning: oh well at least I have an option to defer to fall and come in as a junior! I wouldn’t mind saving some money at the community college

@Shortstop3 Same here bro. Wait where is that option though?

@collegebeans look on their website! You can defer for a semester and take classes elsewhere for the time being. I’m not sure it applies to spring but I hope so!

I sent in my spring grades May 27 and was wondering when you guys think I should be hearing back? How long did it take some of you SGR applicants to hear back???

@sunita18 I sent my grades on May 22nd, heard back on June 2nd. So id say 1.5-2 weeks.

@jucery13 thank you! I called and on Monday the lady said really soon and emphasized really but it’s now Friday so I don’t think we have the same definition as really soon. Then yesterday when I called the lady told me I was a spring admit by accident so I don’t know if she said it by accident or because she mixed it up with spring grade request :-S

The fact that some people have access to OASIS and others don’t is beyond me. A friend of mine decided to call USC today and she assured him that no one who has not yet been admitted to the program will have access to OASIS, but that is such a flawed statement. She even went as far as saying it was impossible. There are a lot of people on here who do have access to OASIS.

I wonder why that is?

@sunita18 if you applied for Marshall you will more than likely be a spring admit, all the marshall applicants being accepted recently are spring admits

My restrictions updated today but my stars report hasn’t yet, is the advisement for biological sciences (major I applied for) a good sign or does that always happen?

Ability to benefit just popped up in my financial aid. Good sign?

@jucery13 I was accepted on 27th and fall admit

@huenime134 Great sign! I got accepted 2 days later

@piano1900 Yeah it seems that people started getting admitted for spring after June 2nd.

Anyone know about the rescind policy for USC?

anybody have any thoughts on the whole deposit fee waiver? Im looking to fill out the fee waiver of the 300.00 deposit but I don’t know a single thing about it… who do I contact?

@RAHforHEE dang! 60,000 in loans? I’m over here worried about 13,000 in loans haha

come on guys… you all know me… any ideas on the deposit fee waiver?

@lordfx I’m not sure where I read this, maybe an email, but it said that you had to send them a letter signed by someone who can attest to your financial circumstance and how it would be a financial hardship to pay the commitment deposit. Then you just fax it over to the admissions office. It’s similar to the application fee waiver in a sense. Hope this helps. I think it was on the admission package in one of the letters but I’m not too sure.

@lordfx when I called admissions today, they literally just said to put the number of a financial aid counselor, thats it, which seemed way to easy…

Hi guys, can (or is it likely) to be denied if you were SGR’d, and received straight A’s for the spring semester? I took 19 units and all 5 classes were part of the GE curriculum for SC
