Hi I got accepted into USC Dornsife as Environmental Science and Health. I was part of the Trojan Transfer Program .
My stats are 4.0 34 units an internship/volunteer program at the local community college at a dog shelter. I stayed in contact with my counselor ALOT. I also got SGR and just received my acceptance letter today! GLUCK TO YOU GUYS FIGHT ON!

What orientation date did you guys choose or were able to choose?
@ucirvinetousc Not necessarily. Usually, SGR’s in the competitive majors get acceptances last. If I remember correctly from last year, the results were as follows:
- Dornsife, Annenberg, Viterbi and other STEM acceptances
- SGR’s
- SCA, Marshall, and other creative school acceptances
- Undecided/Undeclared acceptances
- Some rejections start to roll out
- SGR acceptances and more rejections roll out
I got accepted into my first choice major (Business) after they SGRed me at the end of May and I was accepted around the same time as many of the undeclared students

I called the housing services today, they said that they’re still assessing applications from the start of June. They said that since I applied on the 11th (not the 12th apparently) I might get an answer by next week, though that’s tentative.
I was placed in Dornisfe as undecided, but hopefully I will transfer to Annenberg! What about you?
Hi. My enrollmenent deposit is due today. I’m still now sure whether or not I will commit to USC since I didn’t get credit evaluation form from them yet and I don’t know what kind of housing I will be assigned. I noticed I can waive the deposit fee by filling out a waiver online. Will I have to pay it even if I finally decide to commit to other school instead?
Is the yousc portal down/not loading for anyone else?
@dhailey It was down early this morning for me. Tried again a few hours ago and was able to log-in. Tried just now, and its down for me too. I don’t know why I keep checking everyday, I should just check July 15th…
does anyone know what the pre-academic advisement worksheet is? They’re saying that it is one of the things needed before I can sign up for orientation. I’ve copied and pasted the list needed before orientation below.

@dhailey me too. I was going to review my financial aid award since I received an email this morning. So i logged in and when I clicked on the “check financial aid. . .” It wouldn’t load.
Has anyone that applied for housing but not yet been assigned a room been directed to the ‘Confirmation Payment’ page, the one where you pay $800?
Just submitted spring grades last week and called admissions today. And they acknowledged they received my transcript. For people who had spring grades requested, did the application status go back to this:

Hi @ucirvinetousc I will be attending ucsd In the fall however I’m hoping to transfer to USC. I’ve heard that transferring from a uc to USC can be a little difficult. Can you give me some tips on how I can increase my chances? Anything is appreciated! Please and thank you so much in advance!
Hey I had a question regarding placement exams! Have any of you guys taken them…? And for foreign language, do you guys know if we have to take the same language we took in highschool…? I hope not…
@Trojan320 hi!! of course! to be very honest transferring from a UC to USC is relatively more difficult since classes fill up fast at UCs so you might not get the classes you want along with easier professors, also the academics are much harder as UCSD is a very academically rigorous school. So you will have to study very hard, it can be discouraging sometimes but it’s definitely worth it at the end. My tips are to look at the articulation agreements to see which classes are transferable and try to fill up the GE requirements on there as much as possible, make sure you fulfill both the math and writing requirements, take at least 16 units per quarter (that’s what was said on the Trojan Transfer Plan), stay in contact with your admission counselor, and maintain your GPA as high as possible. My cumulative GPA was 3.84 so i would suggest to stay within that range! Best of luck to you!!
My counselor confirmed she received my transcripts, and I have no documents to submit at this time. But my application didn’t switch back and it’s been about 10 days, it still says the SGR message :-??
@ellie64 you might want to call/email and confirm this with them again. I emailed my counselor after I submitted my transcript and the SGR message was taken off the list after he replied to me via email confirming the document.
Does anyone know if the placement test online is timed?
