*******OFFICIAL USC Class of 2019 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@frozens‌ A lot of people in the Facebook group for admitted students got one!

@Digitallyshrewd‌ @natasham‌ I’m international & I got a packet! It was sent via DHL and arrived within 3 days of posting.

@LayraSparks‌ what? When? USC doesn’t have a EA policy, right?

USC doesn’t have EA, but if you applied by December 1st and were nominated for a scholarship that required an interview then you were notified early. They hold the interviews in late February/early March.

@Digitallyshrewd‌ Yes, @jmek15‌ is correct! I was nominated for a full-tuition scholarship, so they sent me my acceptance packet in late January.

@layraSparks, when do you think we will be notified of the scholarship decision?

is it true that if you order your ticket to EXPLOREUSC through USC you can be refunded? I read that somewhere on CC

@gamink348 I don’t think I will want to film myself because, regardless of whether I got in or not, I’ll probably be crying hysterically to be honest. Haha

Did anyone get an email saying that USC received your FA documents? I sent it to them but my youusc says they haven’t received it but my FAFASA says it was sent to them?

@sjr414‌ Hahaha I would do the same…good luck!

@newsie2015 I think they are a bit behind. They are asking for a document I sent them weeks ago. I keep calling them and telling them I sent it to them and they said they have it but the portal hasn’t been updated yet.

All universities are a bit behind, the number of applicants this year is literally huge.

@jmek15‌ By the end of March, but I don’t know anything more specific. I’m also not sure whether they’ll mail it, or if it will be on the applicant portal. I check the mail twice a day, though…

@Newsie2015‌ USC refund either up to $60, or up to $200 of your airfare, it depends on where you come from. It doesn’t matter how you book, you just have to submit a reimbursement form when you’re at ExploreUSC, usually during check-in.

How do people get into the “summer” program? Is that for kids that USC wants but they still need to work on some things or something?

@Itsdomoo‌ Do you mean the summer program for high school kids?
I only know of one summer program that USC hosts, and out of my four friends who attended this said program and applied to USC, three ended up getting in!

edit: to clear it up, I am currently a freshman at USC and my four friends are also in my graduating high school class

@Digitallyshrewd‌ I applied to the school of social sciences as a business major, but I want to double major in both Business Administration and Computer Science if possible. XD The workload will be painful, but for what I want to do I think these are definitely necessary :stuck_out_tongue:

I blame common app

Hi everyone! I’m just now joining this USC thread! Did anyone else apply to Dornsife?

I applied to Dornsife. I’m interested in creative writing but does anyone know if I could double major with a major from one of the other colleges because I’m interested in screenwriting too.

@LayraSparks‌ Wait, there’s a Facebook group? Is it the unofficial one?
