thats weird. they must have processed mine really fast. because i just submitted an app for it because i wanted to find out about the to do list and I already got a to do list from them (with three or four items) and emails. so i don’t know how they got to it so fast if they’re doing all applicants.

also, i just found some more people that had to dos last year that were accepted. all the ones that posted that they got a lot of to dos either were accepted or didn’t post their decisions. but i think i made 3 connections with the acceptances.

i also saw one or two names that didn’t get to dos that were not accepted…

this is probably just psyching me out a ton and giving me a sliver of hope! such a stressful/exciting process.

I don’t know guys… My boyfriend who has a 4.0 in college and got a 4.0 at a top private high school who’s basically a shoe in applied for financial aid and has no to-do’s

OK. Once everyone gets their decision say if you got in, when you got the check, if you applied for finaid, and if you got a list of to-dos. Yay. Tomorrow T_T

Yea, I’m almost positive it means nothing. I have good stats and am hooked beyond belief yet I do not have any items on my financial to-do. Yes, I applied for financial aid.

This is all just speculation. Of course I would add if your financial aid app was complete and they didn’t need additional info, it stands to reason that you would have no to-do’s!

^ For freshmen applicants, I would say that’s true. However for transfer applicants, I do believe there are shoo-ins. The acceptance rates indicate that it is indeed easier to get in as a transfer student than it is as a freshman.

And I don’t want to divulge how I am hooked, but just wanted to give some context behind my reasoning of why I don’t believe the financial aid to-do list means anything.

Oh, and for what it’s worth, I received my check mark fairly early.

Dude I have almost the same SAT and a 3.93 GPA and i’m nervous as hell. UVA isn’t a surefire bet for anyone. Although, i have no idea what being “hooked” means so you might have an advantage i don’t understand (like, you’re Bill Gates’s nephew or something?)

Yup, UVA is a bit harder to transfer into unfortunately. UVA is 35% while UNC is 41% so they are relatively close in selectivity, but I assume the applicant pool for UVA is a bit more competitive. Out of curiosity - does anybody know what percent of admitted students are OOS?

Yeah I was admitted to UNC and really don’t think I’m gonna get into UVA. And it is really difficult out of state. I know so many qualified applicants that havent gotten in. You never know.

True. Even so, I feel like have a very good shot. I’m going to stop posting in this thread until decisions come out as I feel like some people have taken offense to what I have said.

legacy? wealthy family? recommendation from the president?
I started three businesses in the past four years and have earned a few entrepreneurship awards, I hope that is a good enough hook for me to get into McIntire. I’ve also been a successful athlete, have awesome essays, and really great extracurriculars, many that I’ve received awards for. SAT only 2030 (1310 I believe) though, and GPA is only 3.8 (3.95 in HS) AND I’m out of state so I feel the numbers are greatly against me.
I also got into UNC but I have no idea what to expect from UVA. SO nervous. It really is my dream school. I feel like everyone else is applying with a 1400+ on their SATs and 4.0s but my ECs and real-world experiences might put me ahead (or not).
Anybody with similar stats or ECS?

@asap69 lol sorry I didn’t mean to come off as uptight it was just you talking about how you have an advantage and not telling anyone about it that made your post hard to reply to and, to put it bluntly, you seem a little pretentious. But anyway, UVA usually accepts ~25% of their OOS applicants DON’T STOP POSTING I SURVIVE ON REFRESHING THIS PAGE.

@Homebound92 I definitely do not have the same ECs as you…haha but I doubt your SATs matter with the rest of your activities and numbers.
